Barcelona can cut the deficit at the top to just one point when they play Getafe on the road this weekend at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
The reigning La Liga Champions have made a topsy-turvy start the season, and already trail leader Real Madrid by four points.
While Getafe will be looking to emulate the incredible success of last season, which, against all the predictions, they managed a fifth position in La Liga.
However, as things stand, their form is a concern, having won just once in the first six games. Though, the hosts have string together a five-game unbeaten run heading into this match.

Getafe Team News:
The hosts don’t have fresh injury concerns ahead of this game. It means that Amath Ndiaye and Vitorino Antunes remain on the sidelines at the moment.
“Amath has some discomforts that are being treated, we hope we can have him as soon as possible with the group,” Getafe manager José Bordalás told the media.
Furthermore, the boss said that Antunes is not expected to be in the playing 11 anytime soon.
Two players could return next week!
Bioth Mathias Olivera and Xabier Etxeita are yet to feature this season for Getafe, but the duo has made significant progress in their recovery and is nearing a return.
Europa League could force the manager to make changes here!
Getafe will be making a long trip to Russia to take on FC Krasnodar in the Europa League, which means, Bordalás has to make some changes to his playing 11 in this game to keep his players fresh and healthy for the two demanding games.
Raul Garcia has returned to fuill fitness and is an option at left-back, but we expect Allan Nyom to start, with the former getting the nod in the Europa League.
Jason scored the second goal in the 3-3 draw against Valencia last weekend and seems ahead of Faycal Fajr in the pecking order. Jason should start here, with Fajr looking more like an option for Europe.
Getafe Probable XI:
Soria (GK), Nyom, Cabrera, Dakonam, Suarez, Fajr, Maksimovic, Arambarri, Cucurella, Jaime Mata, Molina
Barcelona FC Team News:
Lionel Messi suffered another set back in the midweek when he hobbled off the pitch due to an injury. The 31-year-old, who secured his record 6th FIFA World Player of the year award this week, will be missing this game.
While Jordi Alba and Samuel Umtiti remain in the treatment room at the moment. The former is likely to return next week, while the Frenchman is still a long time away from making a return to the first-team action.
Ansu Fati has been ruled out from this game as well due to an injury.
With Inter Milan on the horizon, under-pressure Ernesto Valverde looks for a winning combination!
Injury to Lionel Messi is another bad piece of news for Valverde. Not only he has to deliver without his best player, but he has to find a way to alleviate the disharmony within the camp.
Valverde left Ivan Rakitic out of his matchday squad for the midweek fixture against Villarreal, which shows that the Croatian has fallen out of the manager’s wish list.
At the moment, Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets, and Arthur are the manager’s go-to midfield three. Though, Inter’s match could force Valverde to include Arturo Vidal in his plans for this game.
Ousmane Dembele is fit now and is expected to start ahead of Ansu Fati in the front three, comprising Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann.
Barcelona squad for this game:
Ter Stegen, Nelson Semedo, Gerard Piqué, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Todibo, Arthur, Luis Suárez, Ousmane Dembélé, Neto, Clement Lenglet, Moussa Wague, Antoine Griezmann, Carles Aleñá, Sergi Roberto, Frenkie De Jong, Arturo Vidal, Junior and C. Pérez
Barcelona Probable XI:
Ter Stegen (GK), Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Firpo, de Jong, Busquets, Arthur, Griezmann, Dembele, Suarez
Likely to score:
- For Getafe: Jaime Mata, Jorge Molina
- For Barcelona: Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele
Suggested combination:
BAR vs GEF Dream11 potential winner:
Barcelona should at least get a draw here.
