BAY vs FRK Match Preview, Team News, Lineups

Bayern Munich can clinch the seventh consecutive Bundesliga title when they host top-four chasing Eintracht Frankfurt in the last game of the season at Allianz Arena.

BAY vs FRK Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
This is by far the closest Bundesliga title race in recent years. Even the Champions League places aren’t decided yet and the table will take its final shape only on the pivotal week of the 2018-19 season of German football.

That said, the Meisterschale is expected to head to the familiar shores as Bayern Munich are in the pole position, holding their destiny in their own hands. As things stand, they are two points clear of challenger Borussia Dortmund and considering they have a +17 goal-difference over the BVB, even a draw would be enough for Bayern to clinch their seventh consecutive title win.

Kovac is aiming to win his first Bundesliga title as a manager.

But this is a one-off game. The stakes are as high as they can be, not only for the Bavarian giants but for Eintracht Frankfurt as well, who are chasing the Champions League football for the first time since losing in the final of the 1960 edition.

Frankfurt have a clear goal; win the match at Allianz Arena, and hope Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen drop points in their respective games.

James meanwhile is recovering from chronic and nagging calf issues and is expected to be out of this game.

Reserve goalkeeper Christian Früchtl is out of this game as well. Ron-Torben Hoffmann is expected to be on the bench to give cover for Sven Ulreich.

Suspended – None.
Doubtful – There is some good news as well, however, as Javi Martinez, Joshua Kimmich and Thiago Alcantara should all be fit for the season-defining match.

Probable XI: Ulreich (GK), Kimmich, Sule, Hummels, Alaba, Alcantara, Goretzka, Coman, Gnabry, Muller, Lewandowski

Eintracht Frankfurt:

  • With Sebastien Rode out with an injury, Makoto Hasebe is expected to start in defensive midfield. Simon Falette and Evan Ndicka will be competing for a place at the back.

Probable XI: Trapp (GK), N’Dicka, Hinteregger, Abraham, Fernandes, Da Costa, Hasebe, Kostic, Gacinovic, Rebic, Jovic

Robert Lewandowski – 2.5, 24.5, 20.5
Sebastien Haller – 10.5
Thomas Muller – 5, 10.5, 13
Luka Jovic and Ante Rebic- (not enough stats, but game-changer – 100%)

Stats and facts:

  • Bayern Munich have won a staggering 22 times in the last 29 games against Eintracht Frankfurt.
  • The two teams met twice already this season with the Bayern triumphing in both the games with an aggregate score of 8-0.
  • One small ray of hope for away team (for Borussia Dortmund as well) is that Frankfurt emerged 3-1 winner in the DFB Pokal Cup final exactly a year ago.

Breakdown of both team’s stats (Season 2018-19)

Inter Milan | Chievo

  • Goals scored: 83| 59
  • Goals conceded: 31| 43
  • Shots: 614| 404
  • Shots against Post/Bar: 22 | 8
  • Fouls Committed: 275 | 378
  • Own Goals: 1 | 1

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Bayern Munich scored a whopping 8 goals in the two meetings against Frankfurt this season, with Robert Lewandowski netting an impressive hattrick in the first game.

@Twitter

With 22 strikes, he is leading the goalscoring charts in Bundesliga and is on course to win his fourth consecutive Golden Boot award. Only Gerd Muller (7 awards) has won more cannon awards.

Lewandowski is Munich’s biggest threat on any given day and has the habit of popping up with the all-important goals.

  • Minutes played: 2,869
  • Appearance: 32
  • Goals scored: 22
  • Assists: 7
  • Shots: 139
  • Possession: 1,100
  • Duels won: 46.8%
  • Aerial duels won: 40.0%
  • Penalties: 4
  • Penalties converted: 3

This is a game of small margins and the players like Luka Jovic, Ante Rebic and Filip Kostic will have their say on the proceedings. The reason to go with this trident is that the trio has played a hand in 49 of Frankfurt’s 59 Bundesliga goals. So, if by any chance the visitors end up spoiling the party for the hosts, you can be sure that the likes of Rebic, Kostic, and Rebic will have played a significant role in the match.

Luka Jovic:

  • Minutes played: 2,158
  • Appearance: 31
  • Goals scored: 17
  • Assists: 5
  • Shots: 94
  • Possession: 949

Suggested combination:

Goalkeeper: Kevin Trapp
Defenders: Alaba, Hummels, Hinteregger, Kimmich
Midfielders: Thiago, Kostic, Rebic, Muller
Forwards: Jovic (VC), Lewandowski (C)
