  • Selecao head coach Tite announced his final 23-man final squad for the Copa America and two pre-tournament Friendly games.
  • He has plenty of world-class talents at his disposal, but also saw the luxury of leaving out some world-renowned players.
  • Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has been left out, along with Real Madrid’s Marcelo and his club teammate Vinicius Junior.

  • Neymar has been stripped off the captaincy responsibilities after a series of disciplinary incidents rocked the PSG star of late. His club teammate Dani Alves will be leading the team in the tournament which Brazil hasn’t won since 2007.
  • Of all the spots in the starting line-up, perhaps Tite will face the biggest headache from the goalkeeping department. Liverpool’s Alisson Becker and Manchester City’s Ederson are both equally good enough to start the match.
  • But here in this match, Ederson will start the game because of Liverpool’s involvement in the Champions League. Roberto Firmino will also sit out the game due to the same reason.

  • The midfield is stocked with talent with the likes of Arthur, Casemiro, and Fernandinho all vying for the place in the midfield.
  • David Neres will be looking for a start in the famous Yellow shirt after his breakthrough season with Ajax, while the likes of Neymar and Gabriel Jesus, along with Philippe Coutinho are the usual suspects to carry the burden of scoring.

Probable XI: Ederson (GK), Alves, Marquinhos, Miranda, Filipe Luis, Casemiro; Richarlison, Arthur, Coutinho, Neymar, Jesus

Probable XI: Al Sheeb (GK), Al Rawi, Khoukhi, Salman, Miguel, Al Haydos, Madibo, Hatim, Hassan, Afif, Ali

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Neymar: Does he need any introduction?

The world’s most expensive player has had an injury-plagued season. His Champions League hopes were dashed in a sensational way as PSG capitulated in the 2nd leg, while he was there, injured and on the touchline standing helpless.

The rape charges, the punch to a PSG fan, and the reports that he wept while chatting with manager Tite, can’t take the fact away that he is a world beater.

That’s why he will be extra motivated to put the ghost of his recent past to its grave. expect him to be on fire in this match.

As far as the last season was concerned, the PSG superstar still managed quite decent numbers:

Games: 28
Goals: 23
Assists: 13
