Chelsea brace themselves for a tough trip to Lancashire as they play Burnley away in the Premier League, on Saturday night (IST).
When FIFA imposed a transfer ban on Chelsea, it was hard to conceive how the Blues could cope with their big rivals, considering every team flexes its muscles in the transfer windows. On top of that, Eden Hazard also left the club for pastures new in Real Madrid. A Nightmare?
Fast forward three months, Chelsea fans have pretty much nothing to complain about. The ban proved to be a blessing in disguise for the five-time Premier League champions as academy players like Mason Mount, Calum Hudson Odoi, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have emerged into the scenes as a proper player. Now some football pundits are claiming that if Chelsea can hold onto their young players, and continue to give them minutes in the Premier League, Frank Lampard’s team could be ready to dominate the English football.
Burnley, on the other hand, are once again punching above their weights this season. They have three wins, three draws and three defeats from their first nine league games an sit 8th on the points table.
The Premier League match will be played between Burnley and Chelsea at Turf Moor, in Burnley, Lancashire, England. The ground has a capacity of 22,546.
The game will start at 10:00 PM (IST), on Saturday, October 26.
