CHE vs NEW Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Newcastle United in the Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, in London, on Saturday night (IST).

Chelsea:
Manager Maurizio Sarri has said many times this season that his side is a work in progress and both Manchester City and Liverpool are a step ahead at the moment. The former Napoli boss was not trying to take the pressure off himself but he was right as Chelsea need an overhaul as far as their squad is concerned. The reason being that the Blues, for all the talent in their ranks, have underperformed so far.

No wonder it’s Chelsea who are making the biggest headlines in the January transfer. They have already agreed on the transfer of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund. The Americal International will join the Blues in the summer of 2019.

The future of Eden Hazard is far from certain. Chelsea are still in the hunt for a new striker after both Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata failed to impress so far. Gonzalo Higuain has been muted as the potential arrival. However, it’s Callum Hudson-Odoi who is garnering all the attention these days. The young prodigy is reportedly on Bayern Munich’s radar.

As thing stand, Sarri’s men are 4th in the table with 44 points from the 21 games, only three points away from Arsenal. They have lost the joint second-fewest games in the League this season as well.

Newcastle United:
The Toons are heading into this encounter after going winless in their last five games. They have lost twice in those games in the league, drawing the other two. And as things stand, they could find themselves near or in the bottom three after the conclusion of this round of fixtures.

Newcastle United won three consecutive games for the first time this season when they beat Watford, Bournemouth and Burnley at the start of November. As a result, they steered themselves well clear of the relegation zone after those wins.

But since then the Magpies have collected just six points from the eight games in the league, losing four times.

The squad depth could be the reason why Newcastle have been so poor in the recent matches as manager Rafael Benitez was forced to rotate his squad heavily during the festive period to keep his stars fit and healthy for that crucial phase.

Newcastle’s job is going to be even tougher in the next couple of weeks as they will be facing Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur followed by a six-pointer against Cardiff City.
