Cardiff must re-group:
In his post-match interview following a chastening 1-5 home loss against Watford, Neil Warnock wasted no time in urging his players to get over the result and focus on their next game.
And he is right, the experienced manager knows all the aspects of the game. He knows that clinging to the past is of no use. But the mistakes can help an individual or team prepare better for the future, and the Bluebirds have to regroup, as the time is running out and must show more intent when they host the struggling visitors.
The hosts will have good reasons to smell the blood. Not only Cardiff have the advantage of being at home but Marco Silva is coming under tremendous pressure, and a stuttering Everton may be too brittle at this moment.
Also, the Bluebirds are fighting for their own future. They may be sitting outside the bottom three at the moment, but by no means they are safe. The fixture in the next month or so are too formidable, and the home form could be the key in deciding whether they keep their top-flight status alive or play Championship next season.
Everton: Time is running out for Marco Silva
It’s no secret that Marco Silva was always Everton’s first choice manager when they sacked Ronald Koeman last season. But Watford proved to be a hard bargainer and didn’t budge from their stance. So the Toffees ended up appointing Sam Allardyce as their manager instead.
The supposed dream marriage happened last summer as Everton got their man, and came with him also Richarlison from Vicarage Road. The $50 million Brazilian was one of the many new faces joining Everton, which showed the lofty ambitions of this club to get out of the shadows of Liverpool.
But the results have thus far failed to match the targets as the Blues, who were being hailed as a genuine threat to break into top-5, are hovering in the mid-table. With 33 points from 27 games, they are 11th, a huge 17 points adrift of top-six.
Marco Silva is running on thin lines these days. The results have to change for the better or he could find himself out of his dream job.

EVE vs CAR Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions
Cardiff City vs Everton Team News:
Injured – The hosts have a fully fit squad to choose from.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – None.
Note: However, Oumar Niasse will be unavailable for selection to face his parent club Everton.
Key Players – Paterson, Zohore, Murphy
Injured – The visitors will be without Leighton Baines (rib injury) and Phil Jagielka (other reasons) for this match.
Suspended – On-loan Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma will be serving a one-game ban for accumulation of yellow cards.
Questionable – None.
Note: Marco Silva is flirting with his playing 11 of late, never sticking to one particular formation. But we could see here one formation which reaped him most points this season and that is a false nine with Richarlison playing as the furthest man forward.
Key Players – Richarlison, Sigurdsson
EVE vs CAR Dream11 Playing 11 – (Probable) –
Cardiff City– Etheridge (GK), Manga, Morrison, Bamba; Bacuna, Arter, Ralls, Bennett; Paterson, Zohore, Murphy
Everton– Pickford (GK), Coleman, Keane, Mina, Digne; Gueye, Gomes; Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin
EVE vs CAR Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:
We expect Everton to dominate the game and come out on top. That’s why we have gone with a 4-7 combination in favor of the Toffees.
INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
The head-to-head record between these two teams doesn’t give either team a cause for optimism. Of the previous 36 encounters, Cardiff City have won 13, while Everton have won 14 times.
But the most recent victory was gained by Everton earlier in the season when Gylfi Sigurdsson’s strike was enough to separate the two sides. Also, Cardiff’s last win over Everton was in 1979.
We back the visitors to avoid a defeat here.
