The top two in Group H clash as France host Turkey in the European Qualification match at Stade de France.

Both the teams have earned 18 points from the first seven games, with Turkey occupying the first spot in the group on the virtue of their better head-to-head record against France, following their 2-0 win at Torku Arena in June.

After that defeat, Didier Deschamps’ men have won all the subsequent matches, and are on a four-game winning streak.

While Turkey’s only defeat in the qualifying campaign came against Iceland, but have won their next three games goals-to-nil.

The European Qualifiers match will be played between France and Turkey at Stade de France, in Paris, France. The ground has a capacity of 81,338.

France Team News:

France are without a host of superstars in this international break. Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele both pulled out of the squad due to an injury, while the likes of Paul Pogba, Hugo Lloris, and Samuel Umtiti all missing due to injuries.


Likely changes:

Deschamps may ring in some changes to the playing 11 which won 0-1 away against Iceland. Though, it all depends on the availability of players as well.

Midfield maestro N’Golo Kante was held out against Iceland due to an injury. But if the reports are anything to go by, the Chelsea star is still not match-fit.

Everton left-back Lucas Digne suffered a knock in the last game, but just about managed to see out the match against Iceland. He may not be risked here. Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez should get the nod at left-back.

While Hugo Lloris’ injury should see Steve Mandanda start in goal here.

Moussa Sissoko had a very good game against Iceland, but Deschamps may bring in Tottenham’s to freshen up things in midfield.

Turkey’s star forwards Cengiz Under has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. The 22-year-old AS Roma star is joined by 39-year-old captain Emre Belozoglu on the sideline after he picked up an injury against Albania in the last game.

While Kaan Ayhan, who was amongst the goal against France in June, and Mahmut Tekdemir, who got injured in the last game are doubtful for this match.
