HER vs FRK Dream11 Prediction: The Bundesliga returns for its second matchday of the 2020/21 season with Eintracht Frankfurt travelling to the capital to take on Hertha Berlin. Hertha had an excellent start to the season, beating Werder Bremen 4-1 away from home. What was an evenly poised game, quickly went south for Werder Bremen as two goals in three minutes right before half-time have Hertha a very good lead. This game will come as a relief to Bruno Labbadia who only took over in April as the side had a very poor end to last season, losing all of their last four matches. Frankfurt finished 9th last season and started this one off with a 1-1 draw against newly-promoted Arminia Bielefeld. That result will be seen as a disappointment as a top-half side drawing against a newly promoted side at home is not ideal. These are the kind of games that Frankfurt should be winning if they want to be challenging for the European spots. The Bundesliga has become very competitive of late and any slip-up can be quite costly for them. Hertha Berlin, on the other hand, will look to break into the top half of the table and will most likely be happy with a point away from home.

Who will win today’s match?

This game should be interesting as bookmakers have favoured Frankfurt to win and on paper, Die Adler does have the better squad as compared to Hertha. But that won’t account for much based on current form. Frankfurt won their DFB Pokal game but followed it up with a 1-1 draw at home to Arminia Bielefeld. However, Hertha Berlin played out a thrilling game in the DFB Pokal which ended 5-4 but unfortunately, they were on the losing side of it. Undeterred, they went on to beat Werder Bremen 4-1 away from home. They have basically scored 8 goals in 2 games and Bruno Labbadia will look to carry on that run of form when Frankfurt visit town. Adolf Hutter knows the importance of this match as going winless for two games in a row in the first few weeks of the seasons can cause a huge mental barrier. Armed with the likes of Andre Silva, Filip Kostic and Bas Dost, they will try to dominate possession and keep the game entirely in Hertha’s half. Creative players Kostic will be alert to any kind of vulnerability in the Hertha backline to cause some early damage to them. Check out our HER vs FRK Dream11 Match Prediction.

Captain options

Filip Kostic – Filip Kostic has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga especially since he joined Frankfurt from Hamburg in 2018. He scored 12 goals last season and provided 18 assists last season and averages a goal contribution every 160 minutes. He has been deployed on the left-flank and Bruno Labbadia will turn to Kostic to grab Frankfurt’s first win of their Bundesliga season.

Krzysztof Piatek – After bursting onto the scene for Genoa in the Serie A, he immediately got a transfer to AC Milan where he excels as well. Piatek managed to score a massive 30 goals and 1 assist that season. He then moved to Hertha Berlin where he couldn’t quite replicate the same form but still managed to score 10 goals and provide 2 assists. He will look to find his dynamic form again with Hertha, whilst fighting for his place in the squad.

Andre Silva – The 24-year-old joined Frankfurt on a season-long loan from AC Milan and was signed on a permanent deal this summer window. The Portuguese has scored 16 goals and provided 5 assists last season. He also kicked off this season with 2 goals and an assist this season, scoring against Arminia Bielefeld.

X-factors (differential picks)

Dodi Lukebakio – Dodi Lukebodia, will be in line to start against Frankfurt on his 23rd birthday. He had the dream start to the 2020/21 season scoring 3 goals in two games. He also had 16 goal contributions (8 goals and 8 assists) in 2,197 minutes of football last season, which is about a goal contribution every 137 minutes. His partnership with Krzysztof Piatek can be quite lucrative for Hertha Berlin in the coming season.

Bas Dost – The former VFL Wolfsburg man has had a great start to the season with a goal and two assists in three games. Playing alongside Andre Silva, the Dutchman had a goal contribution every 132 minutes last season. The experienced striker will be looking to phase out his playing career in style as he’ll turn 32 by the end of this season.

Matheus Cunha – The youngster already opened his goals and assists record this season with 2 goals and 2 assists so far in just his 4th season in senior football. To put that into perspective, the Brazilian had a total of 5 goals and 3 assists last season. He has had a very promising start to his career and Hertha fans will have a keen interest in how he develops further after signing him from Leipzig in January.
