HN vs SHD Dream11 Match Preview, Team News, Lineups

Can Henan Jianye snap a two-game skid against one of the most in-form teams in the league?  The hosts welcome Shandong Luneng for the Chinese Super League action at Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium.

Season so far:

  • The threat of relegation is not out of question for Hannay Jianye, despite them sitting at 11th on the table. As things stand, six points separate them from the bottom two.
  • It’s not non-negotiable, by any means, for the teams eying to avoid the drop. Throw in, Henan Jianye‘s own stuttering form, and it looks a long long battle for survival for them.
  • While Shandong Luneng are 4th on the table, but finishing in the top-three looks a bridge too big to cross, as Shanghai East Asia in 3rd are a massive 12 points ahead of them on the table.

Henan Jianye Team News:

Christian Bassogog is not available. Image @Twitter
  • Christian Bassogog is the only player not in contention for this game. Though Cameroon are out of the Africa Cup of Nations, the 23-year-old may not be rushed back for this game.

Possible INs and OUTs of this game:

  • Manager Wang Baoshan sticked to the same playing 11 in the last few games, despite the results going South. Not many options are there for him to flirt, with the players starting from the off, being his best on the paper.
  • The backline will most probably consist of three men, with the two wing-backs, Wang Shangyuan and Lu Yao, playing more as wingers in the game.
  • Olivio da Rosa is the man to go for Henan, and he will be starting this game, while Franck Ohandza is expected to lead the attack.

Henan Jianye Probable XI:

Yan (GK), Lu Yao, Wang Shangyuan, Gu Cao, Han Xuan, Du Changjie, Fernando Karanga, Tim Chow, Feng Zhuoyi, Ivo (Oscar da Rosa), Franck Ohandza

Shandong Luneng Team News:

  • Shandong’s 2-0 win away to Beijing Renhe came at a cost, as first-choice centre-back Lin Dai was sent off for two bookable offences and will be serving a ban here.
  • in addition, former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini will be serving the last of his three-game ban here.

Possible INs and OUTs of this game:

  • With Fellaini remaining on the sideline, Hao Junmin will be given another start and will partner Cui Peng in the midfield.
  • While Zheng Zheng is the likeliest player coming into the playing 11 to replace the suspended Lin Dai at the back.

Shandong Luneng Probable XI:

Wang Dalei (GK), Wang Tong, Liu Junshuai, Zheng Zheng, Liu Yang, Pedro Delgado, Hao Junmin, Zhou Haibin, Zhang Chi, Roger Guedes, Graziano Pelle
