The Indian football team will be squaring off to Qatar at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, for the upcoming Group E fixture in the Fifa World Cup 2022 Qualifiers. India currently find themselves in at the 4th spot in their group having drawn three and lost two games so far. Their draws were up against Qatar, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The defeats were against Oman on both occasions.
At this stage, it looks highly unlikely for the Blue Tigers to advance from the World Cup Qualifiers into the mega event later in 2022. Although, Qatar would have been disappointed with their draw to India a few months ago, the hosts of the World Cup bounced back in grand manner and won five games on the bounce which places them on top of Group E.
