What to expect?

Jamshedpur FC:

Bengaluru FC and FC Goa are once again odd-on favourites for the playoffs this season. But the teams like Jamshedpur and NorthEast United are more than ca[pable of claiming a top-four finish.

Jamshedpur will go into the new season under a new manager and a few Indian players who are yet to make their ISL debut. But the Man of Steel still has the players on their roster who narrowly missed out on the playoffs in the last two seasons, so that experience should work in favour of the team.

Jamshedpur should be in the mix for postseason.

Odisha FC:

An air of uncertainty. For the team go to the new season under a new name and will play its game at a new base. Head coach Josep Gombau remains in India, but he knows results will have to improve this time around if he is to see out this season.

Jamshedpur Team News:

Cesar Ferrando left Jamshedpur after missing out on the playoffs, with Spaniard Antonio Iriondo coming in as his replacement.

Jamshedpur have six foreign players on their roster. Midfielder Memo Moura, who is the only non-Spanish foreign player in the squad and centre-back Tiri, are the only two foreign players who were part of the foreign contingent last season.

Noe Acosta, Piti, Aitor Monroy and Sergio Castel are the other foreign players on Jamshedpur roster.

The addition of C.K. Vineeth seemed like a necessity considering Sergio Cidoncha, Mario Arques and Pablo Morgado all left the franchise in the off-season. The 31-year-old is a proven talent in India and will be a main fixture in the playing 11.

In term of addition, the following Indian players joined Jamshedpur this season: Isaac Vanmalsawma, Joyner Lourenco Jitendra Singh, Narender Gehlot, Niraj Kumar, Aniket Jadhav, Amarjit Singh Kiyam.

While Aridane Santana, Diawandou Diagne, Martin Perez Guedes, Carlos Delgado and Xisco Hernandez complete the foreign contingent in the squad.

But the departure of Lallianzuala Chhangte will be a huge loss considering the young Mizo is one of the best wingers in India. But the team has retained Indian players like Vinit Rai, Daniel Lalhlimpuia and Sajid Dhot who have had enough exposure in ISL to repay the faith showed in them by the franchise.
