KOR vs URU  Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

South Korea will lock horn in an International Football Friendly fixture against the South American giants Uruguay tomorrow at Seoul World Cup Stadium.
The hosts are ranked 55 in the world while the visitors are the 5th best men’s team according to FIFA rankings. This may be a friendly game but South Korea could find themselves fighting against the history in this match for the fact that they have never beaten Uruguay in a men’s football match, only a draw and six losses to show for their efforts in the seven games so far.

The last meeting between these two nations went in favour of Tabarez’s size as Uruguay won 1-0 in that match. The two sides last met in September 2014, and South Korea suffered a 1-0 loss.

After the disappointment of the World Cup, South Korea appointed Paulo Bento as their new head coach. Under Bento, Korea beat Costa Rica 2-0 and earned a 0-0 draw against Chile.

While Uruguay are still being led by their legendary manager Oscar Tabarez. There were rumours that Tabarez may step down because of his dwindling health but there are no signs that the 71-year-old may leave his job he so coveted in the past.

KOR vs URU  Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions
Here is the KOR vs URU  Dream11 team news and injuries

South Korea vs Uruguay Team News:
South Korea: New Head coach Paulo Bento has named a strong 25 man squad for the games against Uruguay and Panama. But the squad do feature six new faces who weren’t the part of the last International fixtures. The most notable new draftee is Stade de Reims forward Suk Hyun-jun, who has been handed a national call-up for the first time in two years.
FC Augsburg striker Ji Dong-won is out injured and won’t be playing this match. Park Joo-ho is also the part of the squad. The former Borussia Dortmund player can play both as a left back and defensive midfielder.

Goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo also returns to the squad after missing out on September friendlies due to a knee injury. He was Korea’s no-1 in the World Cup. But his stuttering performance in Russia indicates that his place is far from secure. Jo will have to compete with Kim Seung-Gyu and Kim Jin-Hyeon for the gloves.
Elsewhere, there are reports that the star midfielder Lee Jae-sung has missed the two training session ahead of this match, and his inclusion remains a doubt. Lee is a very important player for South Korea and was named the South Korean league MVP last season.

Uruguay: For the visitors, Luis Suarez has been left out of the squad as the Barcelona forward’s wife is expecting. However, Uruguay manager has told the media that Suarez may be involved if his wife gives birth early.

Head-Coach Oscar Tabárez has selected only 22 players for the upcoming two friendlies with most high-profile players in the squad, except Suarez and Gimenez, managed to retain their places. But one of the surprise inclusion is of Camilo Mayada who returns to the national set-up after a gap of three years. The Argentine River Plate footballer had been called up for the first time since last playing international football in 2015.
Defender Jose Gimenez missed Atletico Madrid’s last game due to a hamstring injury and may not be involved in this match.
All the other big name players are available.

Updates:

  • Luis Suarez will not play.
  • Jose Gimenez ruled out.
  • Carlos Sanchez will have a knee surgery.
