LAZ vs CAG Dream11: Cagliari travels to the Italian capital to take on Lazio in the Premier League. Lazio has done well in the league so far this season with 11 wins in 20 games and are unbeaten in Serie A in 2021. They are on a 5-game winning streak in the league and have just beaten Atalanta 3-1 away from home which is quite impressive which finds them 6th in the table and a win can see them jump to fourth place over their bitter rivals, Roma who lost to Juventus this game week. Cagliari find themselves struggling and are in 18th place, in the relegation zone. However, they can escape the drop zone with a win against Lazio but their form does not look very promising. Cagliari’s last league win came all the way back in the first week of November and Lazio will pose a very difficult challenge for them.

LAZ vs CAG Prediction, Team News, Starting XI

A) Lazio Team News

Injury Report, Unavailability: Pippo Inzaghi will be without Danilo Cataldi, Thomas Strakosha and Luiz Felipe are all out injured while Patric is suspended and will play no part in this game.
Expected changes: Lazio would like to have played the same team that faced Atalanta but Patric’s suspension will mean that Wesley Hoedt gets a start in defence. Despite grabbing an assist, Stefan Radu should make way for Matteo Musacchio on the left side of the defence. The midfield has been very good and should remain unchanged as Angel Correa and Ciro Immobile spearhead the frontline.

Lazio Starting XI (probable):

Pepe Reina (GK)
Matteo Musacchio
Wesley Hoedt
Francesco Acerbi
Manuel Lazzari
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
Lucas Leiva
Luis Alberto
Adam Marusic
Angel Correa
Ciro Immobile

B) Cagliari Team News

Injury Report, Unavailability: Alfred Duncan, Zito Luvumbo and Ragnar Klavan are all out injured and will not feature in the LAZ vs CAG Dream11 Prediction. Marko Rog is a long-term injury.
Expected changes: Cagliari should make some changes to the side that disappointingly drew to Sassuolo with Daniele Rugani returning to the defence, alongside Diego Godin. Nahitan Nandez should get the nod in midfield in a three-man midfield along with Radja Nainggolan and Razvan Marin. Gaston Pereiro should be back in the firing line with Joao Pedro and Giovanni Simeone in front of him.

Cagliari Starting XI (probable):

Alessio Cragno (GK)
Gabriele Zappa
Diego Godin
Daniele Rugani
Charalambos Lykogiannis
Nahitan Nandez
Radja Nainggolan
Razvan Marin
Gaston Pereiro
Joao Pedro
Giovanni Simeone

LAZ vs CAG Today Match Prediction:

Sky Bet: Lazio – 4/11; Cagliari – 13/2

William Hill: Lazio – 4/11; Cagliari – 7

Pippo Inzaghi has done well with this Lazio side so far and at this point in the season, they would like to keep the momentum going. Cagliari are a side fighting relegation and a win for them will have implications on both halves of the table. Although it is very unlikely that Cagliari will break their winless streak in Serie A against a side like Lazio, that said, they have nothing to lose either and will throw everything they have to swing the LAZ vs CAG Today Match Prediction in their favour.

Most Likely Result: Lazio win

LAZ vs CAG Dream11, Captain & Differential Picks

Captain Options –

Ciro Immobile – Ciro Immobile has been one of the best players, not just for Lazio, but in Serie A. He has 13 goals and 3 assists in 18 games this season and has attempted 23 shots on target while also creating 25 chances. Immobile has been very consistent and grabs a goal in almost every game.

Joao Pedro – Pedro has been Cagliari’s shining light in an otherwise poor season as the Brazilian has netted 11 goals and provided 2 assists in 20 starts for the club. He has also created 25 chances and succeeded in 26 dribbles so far and will pose a huge threat to Lazio.

Luis Alberto – Luis Alberto has been very impressive so far and has created 39 chances so far while succeeding in 34 dribbles. He has also whipped in 19 accurate crosses from the central midfield position and will look to win them the midfield battle.

Differential Picks –

Adam Marusic – Playing in the wing-back position, Marusic has been great on both sides of the pitch. He has created 22 chances and succeeded in 13 dribbles on the left flank and also has 27 clearances and 15 interceptions.

Angel Correa – Starting alongside Immobile in a striker position, Correa isn’t having the best season personally, but is in good form with a goal and assist in his last 2 starts for the club.
