Liverpool turn their attention towards domestic cup competition as Jurgen Klopp’s men take on Arsenal in the fourth round of Carabao Cup at Anfield, on Wednesday night (IST).
Liverpool are certainly not playing at the level they can certainly play. Jurgen Klopp’s men were lucky to win at Sheffield United, the penalty against Leicester City was controversial, Manchester United had enough opportunities to win the game at Old Trafford and Harry Kane’s early goal at Anfield threatened Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the new season.
But Klopp’s team has been winning despite not at their best and this is what the champions team do.
Unai Emery, on the other hand, is feeling the heat and is under tremendous pressure to save his job following the turn of the events against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium at the weekend.
The Gunners were 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes but allowed Palace to claw their way back into the match with the game ending at 2-2. Granit Xhaka’s behaviour when he was substituted certainly didn’t help the cause.
That said, the Carabao Cup may have come at the right time. Liverpool are expected to tinker with their usual playing 11 and that’s an opportunity for Arsenal to register a memorable win at the sacred territories i.e. Anfield.

LIV vs ARS Dream11 Team News:
Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns but Xherdan Shaqiri and Joel Matip are still out and right-back Nathaniel Clyne is a long-term absentee.
Expect changes from Klopp:
Liverpool assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders faced the media ahead of the clash against Arsenal and we can have a slight idea about how the Reds may line up here.
Lijnders confirmed that Caoimhin Kelleher will start in goal ahead of Alisson, while Joe Gomez should start alongside Dejan Lovren at the back. It will be a surprise if any of Virgil Van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Andy Robertson are named in the starting 11.
Ki-Jana Hoever is not available as he represents the Netherlands at the Under-17 World Cup, which opens an opportunity for an academy player, while James Milner is expected to start at left-back.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Adam Lallana are in line to feature in the midfield. Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott are expected to start on either side of Rhian Brewster.
Arsenal: Unai Emery confirmed that Arsenal will travel to Merseyside without five first-team stars for the fourth round Carabao Cup match against Liverpool.
All of David Luiz, Calum Chambers, Reiss Nelson, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Granit Xhaka will be missing for the Gunners.
But the former Sevilla manager confirmed the availability of Mesut Ozil for this match. The German international hasn’t been included in the matchday squad since featuring in the September.
Expect Emiliano Martinez to start in goal, while Hector Bellerin, Kieren Tierney, and Rob Holding will hope to get more minutes under their belt.
Emery is expected to ring in some changes in the midfield as well with the likes of Joe Willock and Lucas Torreira in contention to start.
