Whatever the pressure was there on Liverpool to win this game now gets magnified after Manchester City’s straight-forward 0-2 win over Fulham. The Reds now find themselves one point behind the reigning champions, having played the same number of games.

With City playing in the FA Cup, Liverpool moved to the top of the table after winning 1-2 against Fulham a fortnight ago. But it was anything but a straight-forward victory against Premier League’s second-worst team this season.

Jurgen Klopp was quick to shrug off any suggestion that his team showed title jitters at Craven Cottage.

But the point here is that the Reds were not overly convincing against the division’s worst defensive record.

This is just the beginning now as the business end of the season starts with the home game against Tottenham Hotspur their biggest remaining fixture this season.

Liverpool have no choice but to win this game, no matter how it comes. City have all the talent and the experience available to win all their remaining matches. The best the Reds can hope is to win their games and hope for the best.

That said, Liverpool have a comparatively easy looking fixtures. The home games against Tottenham and Chelsea are the only games against the top-six rivals. But those matches are at Anfield, where Liverpool are unbeaten since 2016.

Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, heads into this game on the back of a very poor run.

It was not long ago when they were being talked about as a possible title contender, but three losses in the last four games virtually ended their title ambitions.

To make matter worse, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all picked up points in that period, closing down the gap on them. As things stand, Spurs are just four points clear of 6th placed Chelsea.

LIV vs TOT Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions
Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur Team News:

Liverpool:
Injured –
 None.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – Jurgen Klopp has welcomed a host of stars this week with the likes of Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, and Joe Gomez all returning to the full training. But Liverpool boss may not choose either of the above-mentioned players with both of them lacking match fitness.
The hosts are also set to monitor the situation of Trent Alexander-Arnold who pulled out of England’s squad due to an injury. Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri remain questionable and will be assessed before the match.

Note: If Arnold fails to prove his match fitness, either Milner or Fabinho are expected to play at right-back. Dejan Lovren is fully fit now having featured for Croatia during the international break, which means he will be fighting with Joel Matip for a place alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the back.
Key Players – Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah

Tottenham Hotspur:
Injured – Tottenham have been dealt a huge blow ahead of this game as defensive midfielder Eric Dier will be missing this match. Serge Aurier picked up an injury on the international duty and sits this one out while Harry Winks is also out.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – Kyle Walker-Peters picked up a knock while on the international duty and will be monitored before the match.
Note: Mauricio Pochettino has to make a decision whether to start with a three-man defense as he has done in big matches. If so, then Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Sanchez will be starting at the back.
Key Players – Harry Kane, Dele Alli
