LYN vs STE Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Fourth place will be on the line when Lyon play host to St-Etienne in the Ligue 1 clash at Parc Olympique Lyonnais Stadium, in Lyon, on Friday night (IST).

Lyon:
Things are pretty much the same as expected in Ligue at this moment. The wind has certainly taken recurrent courses with the dust settling right from the off and from the first match of the season when PSG thumped Monaco 4-0 in the Trophee des Champions final on 4th August.

But 13 matches are more than one-third of the season, and few bumpy rides were more than anticipated to serve natural justice. After all, it’s a human tendency to suffer from the burglary of complacency; Barcelona and Real Madrid have seen their fair share of doldrums, while Bayern are struggling to say the least to even sustain a challenge, in addition, Manchester City and Juventus may have had a good season, but they are not out of sight and few stumbles could see them become the part of chasing pack.

But Ligue 1 is a complete reversal of how things should unravel in the so-called top-5 European League. A 13-point lead after the 13 games is surreal, with the expected-challenger Lyon sitting a further 15 point behind in the table. The gulf is too big, the war is already lost at the front, and it’s the battle for the top-4 which could give some much-needed life to the French League which is soon becoming the new Scottish Premiership.

The Les Gones have lost three times in the league so far. The 5-0 scoreline against PSG may flatter to deceive the Parisians, but the underdogs were expected to lose it anyway. But the defeats which could have been avoided came against Stade Reims and Nice.

St-Etienne:
St-Etienne, on the other hand, should dream for a life in Europe next season. With six wins from the first 13 games and only two losses, they are just three points away from the 2nd placed Lille. So to some extent, the targets are pretty much being met by this team and so the visitors can’t be termed as the underdog by any means in this match.

In the last 8 games, the Les Verts have lost just once – a 3-1 loss against Lille. Also, they have collected an impressive 17 points in those games as well. The visitors are also in good goal-scoring form heading into this match, scoring a staggering 16 goals in the last 8 matches, while Lyon have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine matches.

LYN vs STE Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:

Team 1:
The traditional 4-4-2 formation is what we have chosen for our first team.
Goalkeeper- Lyon’s Anthony Lopes is our custodian here as he is a home team’s goalie and a man in a good form as well.
Defenders: Mendy and Denayer will be starting and are rock solid, while Debuchy is scoring goals of late and may surprise here as well.
Midfielder: Fekir has been declared fit, and will be supported by Tousart. M’Vila and Selnaes complete our midfield.
Attacker – Depay is a sure choice while Khazri is in good form, with the due also acting as captain and vice-captain of our team.

2nd team-
It’s pretty much the same, with Debuchy making way for Subotic as the former Arsenal star is prone to errors.
We haven’t selected Houssem Aouar and Dembele as the due have been listed as questionable.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
Lyon used to be the dominant side in this fixture but the time and the momentum have certainly taken a shift in recent years. In the last five meetings, both the teams have two wins apiece.
However, Lyon have won 10 of their last 13 home games, while Saint-Etienne have lost twice in the last four away matches.
Lyon are talented and should win this game and a home win is our call.
