MCFC vs ODS Dream11

MCFC vs ODS Dream11 Match Prediction

Mumbai City FC will be looking for a win when they start their two-game home-stretch against newly-formed Odisha FC at Mumbai Football Arena, in Mumbai Maharashtra.

But even the change of the name and the base hasn’t brought the desired result to as Odisha and their owners as the visitors head into their third game having lost the first two. Head coach Josep Gmabua is feeling the heat with every negative result bringing him closer to the sack.

That said, Gambau can’t be held responsible alone for the two defeats. Odisha could have won both the games had it not for his players’ lack of composure and judgment in front of goal.

But this the squad he has at his disposal was always going to be his resource and he has to get the best out of it. If not, then Odisha owners may just lose patience this time around.

Mumbai City are already up and running for the season following a win and a draw in the first two matches. What’s more pleasing for manager Jorge Costa is the discipline shown by his backline, never mind the red card to defender Souvik Chakrabarti, for it came in injury time. The last season’s 2nd best defensive unit has already managed two shut outs on as many games.

Match Basic:

Visitors: Odisha FC
Match Timing: October 31, 07: 30 PM (IST)

What is the ISL team news?

Mumbai City FC Team News:

Referee dished out five yellow cards to Mumbai City in the last game, and with center-back Souvik Chakrabarti receiving two. He is suspended for this game as a result.

Centre-back Mato Grgic suffered an injury in Mumbai’s season-opener against Kerala Blasters and the defender is expected to miss this game as well.

Mumbai could be without striker Modou Sougou who had to be taken midway through the first half due to an apparent injury. He is expected to miss this match.

Hmingthanmawia, popularly known as Valpuia, could make his ISL debut at right-back due to Souvik’s suspension.

Due to Grgic’s injury, Islanders’ head coach Jorge Costa was forced to name an all-Indian backline and we expect the 48-year-old Portuguese to stick with the same combination here.

Odisha FC team News:

Odisha will have to do without their first-choice centre-back Carlos Delgado who was sent off in Odisha’s 2-1 defeat at NorthEast United. Diawandou Diagne is expected to start alongside Rana Gharami at the back as a result.

Predicted playing 11:

Mumbai City FC: Amrinder (GK), Bose, Golui, Pratik, Valpuia, Borges, Raynier, Larbi, Machado, Carlos, Chermiti

Odisha FC: Arshdeep (GK), Das, Diagne, Gharami, Sarangi, Rai, Tebar, Guedes, Xisco, Jerry, Santana
