MCI vs SOU Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Manchester City will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to South Coast to face Southampton in the Premier League match at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday evening (IST).

Southampton:
The Saints may have lost the last match 1-2 at home against West Ham United but the club’s fans should be confident about their team’s perspectives going into the 2nd half of the campaign.

After all, new manager Ralph Hasenhüttl managed to achieve what his predecessor Mark Hughes couldn’t in the first 15 games of the season. And that’s two successive wins.

Southampton defeated Arsenal  3-2 for their only 2nd win of the current campaign, followed by another impressive display in the next match, this time on the road against Huddersfield which brought them a comprehensive 1-3 win at John Smith’s Stadium. Those two wins were enough to pull them out of the relegation zone. At the moment, Saints are 16th in the table, three points above the bottom three.

Now Southampton play host to the reigning English champions Manchester City in their last game of 2018. The whole club would be desperately looking to the final whistle to see the end of this year which has brought them only six wins.

Manchester City:
December can be deceptive. And Christmas can be a false indicator of the final standings. Though it happened only two times in the last 10 seasons that a team sitting at the top of the table at the Boxing day couldn’t win the league, and it was Liverpool both the times. And City would be hoping for history repeating itself for the third time.

At the start of this month, the Citizens were sitting two points above Liverpool. The fans and all the football pundits were all going gaga over City’s imperious form and only suggested that of the then three unbeaten streaks, including Chelsea’s, Pep Guardiola’s team had the calibre to last longer.

But the Sky Blues saw their streak ended at Stamford Bridge while Sarri’s men had already lost 2-1 against Wolves before that match.
The defending champions did come back to winning ways as they dismantled Everton 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium, two losses have left Pep’s men 7 points behind current leaders Liverpool. This was the first time since 2016 that City two games on the bounce.

MCI vs SOU Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:

Team 1:
City have lost the last two games but they haven’t become a bad team overnight. The performance in those negative results was good enough to fetch them all three points.
Team selection should be straightforward for Pep Guardiola considering Aguero, De Bruyne and David Silva all are back.
Danny Ings will be the most potent player for the hosts. In the midfield, Nathan Redmond and Armstrong should be one of the first names on the sheet.
At the back, Soares is back but there are rumours about his position in the starting 11, and that’s why we have overlooked him.

Team 2:
Ings and Aguero are the strikers while Mahrez and Bernardo Silva have come in the midfield. Hojberg missed the last match and his absence was felt. He is back after serving a suspension and should start the match.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
Southampton are coming to life under their new manager Ralph Hasenhüttl. For the first time in 2018, they won two consecutive games in the league, and have also scored seven goals in the last three games.
However, there is still a room for improvement as evident in the 1-2 home loss against West Ham.
An away win.

Prediction 2-0 (at least)
