MUN vs WOL Dream11: After a very small break, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are back in action with the latter travelling to Old Trafford. Manchester United are on an impressive run in the Premier League since their 1-0 loss to Arsenal but they will not be completely satisfied with their 2-2 draw to Leicester on Saturday especially with their rivals dropping points. But since, Leicester has drawn to Palace and Chelsea to Villa which gives them another chance to put some distance between the sides around them as they seek to go within touching distance of current leaders, Liverpool. Although it won’t be easy as Wolves are looking to join the chasing pack. Wolves faced Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend and did well to grab a point against them. They are currently 11th but a win can put them in the mix of the top 4 spots. Both sides need this win as the table is very delicately poised and only a consistent string of results will see them through.

MUN vs WOL Prediction, Team News, Starting XI

A) Manchester United Team News

Injury Report, Unavailability: Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones are confirmed absentees and will play no part in the game.

Doubtful: Victor Lindelof had to be substituted off during the Leicester game and it remains to be seen if he gets the nod. Aaron Wan-Bissaka resumed training but will still face a late fitness test to see if he can start.

Expected changes: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted at rotation because of fixture congestion which could see Alex Telles replace Luke Shaw at left-back. Eric Bailly could keep his spot in centre-back if Lindelof isn’t fit enough to start. Bruno Fernandes will continue anchoring the attack with Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani may replace Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial. Mason Greenwood, too, could occupy the right-wing.

Manchester United Starting XI (probable):

David De Gea (GK)
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Eric Bailly
Harry Maguire
Alex Telles
Fred
Scott McTominay
Mason Greenwood
Bruno Fernandes
Marcus Rashford
Edinson Cavani

B) Wolves Team News

Injury Report, Unavailability: Raul Jimenez and Jonny Otto continue to miss out with their extended injuries. Leander Dendoncker and Willy Boly are expected to miss out as well.

Doubtful: Nuno Espirito Santo will be concerned about Fernando Marcal who struggled with a niggle against Spurs.

Expected changes: The MUN vs WOL Dream11 Prediction will see Wolves revert to a back four with Rayan Ait Nouri coming in to replace Marcal and Roman Saiss partnering Conor Coady in centre-back as Nelson Semedo continues at right-back. Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves will form the double-pivot in Leander Dendoncker’s absence. Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence will be joined by Adama Traore in attacking midfield as Fabio Silva continues to lead the line.

Wolves Starting XI (probable):

Rui Patricio (GK)
Nelson Semedo
Conor Coady
Roman Saiss
Rayan Ait Nouri
Ruben Neves
Joao Moutinho
Adama Traore
Daniel Podence
Pedro Neto
Fabio Silva

MUN vs WOL Today Match Prediction:

SkyBet: Manchester United – 11/20; Wolves – 19/4

William Hill: Manchester United – 6/10; Wolves – 24/5

Although the bookies hold Manchester United as the outright favourites to win the MUN vs WOL Today Match Prediction, it will not be that simple as both sides have displayed inconsistency in their form this season. The games between these two sides have often been cagey affairs with a combined 3 goals in their last 4 meetings. Raul Jimenez’s absence will continue to affect Wolves but Neto and Podence have been immense and will ensure that the United defence doesn’t get a minute’s rest. On the other end, Cavani will be a constant nuisance for Roman Saiss who will be punished if he slips up even once.

Most Likely Result: Draw

MUN vs WOL Dream11, Captain & Differential Picks

Captain Options –

Bruno Fernandes –

Goals/Assists – 14/7
Chances created – 66
Accurate crosses – 28

Fernandes has been the main man for United for a while now and coincidentally made his United debut against Wolves. He has since amassed 31 goals and assists in 29 games which is the most any midfielder has bagged in one calendar year. Bruno also has 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 2 Premier League games.

Pedro Neto –

Chances created – 30
Successful dribbles – 26
Accurate crosses – 25

Neto grabbed the assist against Tottenham as Wolves held them to a draw. He has upped his game in the absence of Jimenez and will take on the attacking responsibilities along with Daniel Podence. Playing on the left-wing, he will look to get in behind the defence and whip in all types of crosses into the box.

Edinson Cavani –

Goals/Assists (starts) – 3/2 (3)
Shot Conversion rate – 60%
Chances created – 4 (212 minutes)

Cavani has been an excellent signing for United so far and despite starting on the bench against Leicester, his presence became evident as soon as he came on. He grabbed an assist for United’s second goal and also the opening goal against Everton as Untied sailed into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Differential Picks –

Daniel Podence –

Successful dribbles – 34
Chances created – 15
Shots on target – 13

Striking up a lovely partnership with Neto, Podence will be a nuisance for United as he will look to supply Fabio Silva and have a crack at goal himself. He also has a shot on target accuracy of 72% which will test David De Gea and Wolves will hope to force an error out of him.

Scott McTominay –

Successful dribbles – 16
Interceptions – 21
Chances created – 16

Playing in the United double pivot, McTominay has often done the dirty work that has gone underappreciated. He produced a man of the match performance against Leeds United where he scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist. He also has a pass accuracy of 88% and he will be tasked with linking the attack and defence.

Nelson Semedo –

Successful dribbles – 31
Tackles succeeded – 22
Interceptions – 16

New signing, Nelson Semedo, has been excellent in the Wolves defence, both defensively and offensively. He faces a tough challenge in Marcus Rashford but he will fancy himself to be equal to it. The former Barcelona man may be tasked with decoy runs on the right flank to get in behind the United backline.
