Having lost 3-1 to Real Salt Lake in the last game, New York City will be looking for a response from their players when they host Houston Dynamo in the regular season of Major Soccer League at Yankee Stadium.
Season so far:
New York FC:
They are averaging almost the same points per game this season what they managed in the 2018 MLS regular season.
But the comparison to last season should be looked upon with a wide spectrum, for the team sitting below them, especially the teams outside the playoff positions, are within a touching distance of catching them.
As things stand in the Eastern Conference, Toronto FC, who are 8th and outside the playoffs at the moment, are only 3 points adrift New York FC on the table.
With New York having the same owners as Manchester City’s, manager Domènec Torrent knows that the expectations are high at this club.
This is a critical game, though more than one-third of the season is still to go because a defeat here and a win for their rivals, will increase the pressure even more.

Houston Dynamo:
There have been some improvements and the season could be seen as slightly better. But they are still outside the top-seven in the Western Conference, with three-point separating them from FC Dallas heading into this match.
But the complete picture is not the current table, but there is denying either that the current form which is the main reason why they are outside the playoffs positions.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Heber: The hosts will be well aware of the threat that the away team carries. One of the players who need to be checked is Heber. The 27-year-old is a very intelligent player. as he is mobile enough to run to the defense and drop back to link up with the midfielders as well. He is in very good scoring touch as well.

Season stats:
Mauro Manotas: Despite Houston Dynamo losing 0-1 at home against Chicago, Manotas had a good game. He will be a big threat as the 23-year-old has been in the good touch of late. But it’s his overall contribution which sets him apart from most of his teammates, for he can pick a pass or two, from nowhere.
Suggested combination:
NYFC vs HD Dream11 potential winner: Houston Dynamo should at least get a draw here.
