As they say, Red and blue don’t mix. At least not in the context of English football, they do not. Liverpool and Chelsea are set to lock horns in tomorrow’s Premier League clash which will have significant bearing towards the top of the table. Liverpool are fighting with Manchester City for the Premier League title, while Chelsea are in a 4 horse champions league qualification race.

The Preview

Liverpool have bitter memories of this fixture that took place exactly 5 years ago. The Reds were sailing towards the title before Steven Gerrard infamously slipped to give Demba Ba the chance to score a goal which resulted in Chelsea winning the title that year. Understandably, Liverpool would want to keep it together this year as they prepare for the final charge.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are in a close fight with Pep’s Manchester City at the top of the table. They would be fully aware that the match against Chelsea is, perhaps, the toughest test for them to overcome in the remaining matches. Thus, the Reds must give everything to win this fixture.
