AS Roma can make a hattrick of wins in Serie A when they host Atalanta in the league action at Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday night.
The Giallorossi missed out on the lucrative Champions League last season after failing to finish in the top-four. This was the very reason why the club hierarchy decided not to extend the contract with Claudio Ranieri who was given the charge only on a temporary basis.
But Roma have made a decent start to the new season, undefeated in the first four league games while winning the last two.
For Atalanta, the target must be to least match the last season’s unbelievably high finish in the league.
The Serie A match will be played between AS Roma and Atalanta at Stadio Olimpico, in Rome, Italy. The ground has a capacity of 72,698.
The game will start at 10:30 PM (IST), on Saturday, September 25.

AS Roma Team News:
AS Roma have a shorter injury list at the moment, with Cengiz Ünder, Diego Perotti, and Davide Zappacosta being the only absentees due to the health and fitness issues.
However, the hosts will also miss the services of Gianluca Mancini for this game after the defender was red-carded against Bologna on Sunday.
Busy stretch for AS Roma:
This will be the fourth straight week where AS Roma are playing a midweek game. Their 6th place finish last season means, Fonseca’s men had to play the Europa League qualifying round.
They had a European assignment last week as well, and are now set to play Atalanta in Serie A.
The busy stretch definitely warrants some change, but after hosting Atalanta on Wednesday, Roma will travel to Lecce. Considering the profile of Roma’s next two opponents, we expect Fonseca to name his strongest possible XI in this game.
Edin Dzeko will once again lead the attack, with Lorenzo Pellegrini, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and either Nicolò Zaniolo or Justin Kluivert starting behind him.
Chris Smalling to start:
With Mancini out and Chris Smalling’s lack of match fitness, Juan Jesus was the likely player to partner Federico Fazio at the back. But Fonseca has confirmed that Smalling will start this game.
AS Roma squad:
Francesco Rossi, Marco Sportiello, Pierluigi Gollini, Rafael Toloi, Simon Kjaer, Andrea Masiello, José Luis Palomino, Robin Gosens, Guilherme Arana, Berat Djimsiti, Timothy Chestnuts, Hans Hateboer, Roger Ibañez, Remo Freuler, Marten de Roon, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Mario Pašalić, Alejandro Darío Gomez, Josip Iličić, Duván Zapata, Musa Barrow
AS Roma Probable XI:
P. Lopez (GK), Kolarov, Smalling, Fazio, Florenzi, Cristante, Veretout, Zaniolo, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan, Dzeko
Atalanta FC Team News:

Luis Muriel will be missing the trip to the Italian capital due to an injury.
Remo Freuler and Mario Pasalic battle for a place in the midfield, while both Josip Ilicic and Alejandro Gómez should return to the starting XI.
Atalanta Probable XI:
