Shakhtyor’s Cup campaign ended on Wednesday night as they were knocked out at the semi-final stage in spite of a remarkable fightback in the second half of their second leg with Dinamo Brest. Dinamo had a two-goal lead into the second leg and were able to score two more through the midway point. Shakhtyor needed a miracle in the second half and they almost did that courtesy goals from Igor Ivanovic, Dmitri Podstrelov and a brace from Vitali Lisakovich. Though a resounding fightback, Shakhtyor were eliminated because of the away goals. However, Shakhtyor will have a sense of beleif and confidence as they host Isloch. Sergey Politevich remains in doubt to start due to a knock that he sustained.
Isloch have been impeccable at home as they bagged four wins from five home games to start of the season. The upcoming fixture will be a challenge as this will be just their second away game of the season. In the most recent game Dmitiri Komarovskiy scored a penalty to put Isloch ahead against Vitebsk right before the first half before Momo Yansane got the second which proved to be enough to fetch the win. Isloch could look to make minimal changes in the starting lineup.
