TOT vs CAR Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to Wales to take on Cardiff City in the Premier League match at Cardiff City Stadium, on Tuesday night (IST).

Cardiff City:
The festive period can be a brutal indicator of where things may go wrong for any team in the Premier League. Manchester City’s squad was running on fine margins after Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho, to name a few, all either ruled out or were short of match fitness, resulting in City’s two successive losses for the first time since 2016.

Cardiff had a tough assignment as they had to play two away games. Considering their away form this season where they were winless all season and also lost six consecutive away games heading into those two matches, everything was looking dark and misty for the Bluebirds.

But against all the odds, and beyond every prediction, Neil Warnock’s men have collected four points from their last two games, winning the last one 1-0 against Leicester City to end their away hoodoos.

The club from Wales was one of the favourites to go down this seaosn. But thanks to the positive results, they are now sitting three points away from the danger.

In the next match, they host an -in-form Tottenham Hotspur and then play Gillingham in the FA Cup third round four days later. But the crucial and the seaosn-defining period could come the following week when they play Huddersfield Town (20th) and Newcastle United (15th) in two consecutive weeks. Those matches could be the six-pointers.

Tottenham Hotspur:

What happened in the last match is very hard to describe. There could be many factors which could be the reason for that unexpected and out of the blues kind of result.

The fatigue, a 1-0 lead and complacency could all be blamed why Spurs took their foot off the gas in the 2nd half of the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the last game.

This could be one of those results which may come back to haunt Pochetino at the end of the campaign as the negative result left his team nine points off the pace and only two points better off than 4th placed Chelsea heading into this match.

At the moment, Manchester United are a huge 10 points away from them. But their form indicates a totally different turn in their fortunes and they shouldn’t be ruled out from the champions league qualifications just yet.

Spurs have a season-defining next month as they host Manchester United in the Premier League and play Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-finals. Tottenham must win their next game to take the momentum back.

TOT vs CAR Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions
Cardiff City vs Tottenham Hotspur Team News:

Cardiff City:
Injured – Kenneth Zohore is still recovering from a thigh injury and is likely to miss the match.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – None.

Note – Manager Neil Warnock tweaked his side heavily for the trip to Leicester and made five changes to his starting 11 including midfielders Aron Gunnarsson and Harry Arter. With FA Cup match against Gillingham in the next match, expect Warnock to name the same XI for Spurs game.
Callum Paterson is expected to start the match, while Bobby Reid may have done enough in the last game to keep one of Junior Hoilett and Josh Murphy out of the starting 11.
Also, Joe Bennett has regained full fitness and will be pushing for a place at left-back along with Greg Cunningham.
Key Players – Reid, Peterson

Tottenham Hotspur:
Injured – The visitors have their task cut out in the midfield as Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama all have been ruled out with injuries.
While defender Jan Vertonghen is still a few weeks away from returning to the training.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – Dele Alli was substituted after the 70th minute. The Englishman has only recently returned from an injury and Pochettino must decide whether to risk his star midfielder with the 2nd start in a matter of few days or play him from the bench.
Note: Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko are expected to start in the midfield.
Key Players – Kane, Eriksen

TOT vs CAR Dream11 Playing 11 – (Probable) –
Cardiff City– Etheridge (GK), Manga, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Camarasa, Arter, Gunnarsson, Murphy, Paterson, Reid
Tottenham Hotspur– Lloris (GK), Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Rose, Sissoko, Winks, Eriksen, Son, Kane, Lucas

TOT vs CAR Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:

Team 1:

The Bluebirds should be confident for a high perch after beating Leicester away last time around. The likes of Hoilet, AftAr and Camarasa will be itching for a start.

While for Tottenham, the 1-3 home loss was just a minor blip in their otherwise near-perfect season. The fatigue was the clear issue. Kane will start, as will Eriksen. But Alli is a doubt and that’s why we haven’t selected him.

 Team 2:

Son has come in as the 3rd striker in our second team.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
Tottenham have won each of the last three games 1-0 against Cardiff City. Also, Tottenham’s 1-3 home defeat against Wolves was their first negative result against the newly promoted teams under Pochettino.
We expect an away win for Spurs.
