VAL vs HUE Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Valencia will be looking for their 2nd home win in La Liga this season when they host the newly promoted SD Huesca at Mestalla, in Valencia, on Sunday evening (IST).

Valencia:
After a near doomed start, Valencia are starting to pick up results of late. But most of the damage has already been done and it’s all about saving the season which is still on the cusp of falling into a rut, which, if not taken hold of, may end Marcelino García Toral’s journey as a football manager in Valencia.

The Los Che finished the 2017-18 campaign at fourth, only six points adrift of 2nd placed Atletico Madrid. For some, it was a long time coming for a club of that size and history in La Liga. So big things were expected from them, at least they were earmarked to sustain a strong top-4 challenge throughout the season.

But it has been a season of too many underwhelming performances. To some extent, the progress made by the club last season relapsed in the past few months.

At the moment, the club is at 14th in the table, a huge 10 points away from the Champions League places. They have won just three games in the first 16 matches with 10 ending in the draws. Also, only one win has been achieved in front of own fans, making them level with Huesca in that regard.

Huesca:
This was always going to be too big a battle for Huesca when they achieved the unthinkable back in May this year.

Founded in 1960, the club has spent most of its life in the lower divisions of Spanish football. And the 2018-19 season is the first time that the club got a promotion to the La Liga. The real battle for Huesca was to secure their top-flight status for yet another season. For a club of their calibre, even achieving that target was always going to be like triumphing the Mount Everest.

At the moment, Francisco’s men are reeling at the very foot of the table. With just one win, they have accumulated only 8 points from the first 16 games. Also, the distance to the safety is increasing with each passing week.
