There are a total of 210 teams that are competing in the World Cup Qualifiers. Four teams have been segregated in 10 groups respectively. The battle will be intense as only 32 teams will be a part of the mega event in Qatar.

Talking about the Indian football team, they are in at the 4th spot in Group E with just three points courtesy three draws and two defeats. Qatar and Oman are sitting comfortably at the top with 16 and 12 points respectively, and the Indians will have to wait another tie in order to advance to the World Cup.

Although they did put up a resilient display against hosts Qatar to draw the game, but their draws against neighbors Bangladesh and Afghanistan is what has hurt them the most. Their two defeats have been against Oman.
