Man Utd Team News: Club statement gives update about Paul Pogba

Manchester United’s main man in midfield, Paul Pogba is set to stay on the sidelines for the upcoming Europa League fixture against AZ Alkmaar.

The French international did feature in the 1-1 stalemate against Arsenal. However, the foot injury which was sustained versus Southampton in August is still creating problems for the 26-year-old.

Club Statement on Paul Pogba’s injury

‘Following a specialist’s opinion, Paul Pogba requires a period of further rest and conservative treatment for the foot injury he sustained during the game against Southampton in August.

Manchester United’s recent form

The Red Devils currently toil at the 10th spot in the Premier League, with two wins, three draws, and two defeats to their name.

The draw against Arsenal on Monday night made United register their worst ever start to a League season since 1989-90.

Further Injury Woes

Paul Pogba’s French comrade, Anthony Martial is also unavailable due to an injury and has been away from action since the defeat to Crystal Palace.

Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka won’t are also out of contention of making it into the team sheet.

Eric Bailly and Phil Jones remain long term absentees.
