Manchester United

Under-fire Manchester United bounced back from a dismal two-game losing streak, as they won against Burnley on Sunday by a scoreline of 2-0.

There was a lot of talk about the manager Jose Mourinho losing it, and if he should be replaced with Zinedine Zidane. For now, these rumours have simmered down, but can anytime catch fire if United again put on a disappointing performance.

Striker Romelu Lukaku scored twice for The Red Devils, and the defence looked solid. Marouane Fellaini was brought in to bring some physicality in the lineup, and he did his job well.

Elsewhere, Manchester City also got back on track and won a gritty game against Newcastle United. They had to work really hard against The Magpies to get the win, and this will help Pep Guardiola immensely. The pressure to regain the momentum would be off and now the team can return to their gameplan to resume their dominance in the English football.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Liverpool maintained their 100% record in the Premier League. The Blues have thrived under the new management of Maurizio Sarri. They have been excellent in attack and even better in defence. It appears that every single player has been given a lease of life this season after suffering last season. They still have a strong squad and with each passing game look more menacing.

Liverpool too won their fourth game of the season, but this one was their hardest one yet. Leicester City caused this team a lot of problems and it was a good test that The Reds had to withstand. Their new goalkeeper Alisson Becker made a mistake in the goal, and it is one of those things that the Brazillian will have to get over as quickly as possible.

Earlier, Tottenham Hotspur lost their winning streak to Watford. The Spurs side were outplayed by their London counterparts. The Hornets have been the talk of the town this season, and are one of the only three teams to have taken all 12 points available this season so far.
