Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari has announced the squad that would face CSKA Moscow in the last group game of the Champions League at Santiago Bernabéu.
There is no place for captain Sergio Ramos and Casemiro in the released squad for UCL fixture. Real Madrid have qualified for the next round and manager Scolari wants to use this as an opportunity to give game time to some of the other players.
Other than Ramos, Casemiro is not named in the squad. Reportedly, he is still down with an injury and Marcus Llorente will take his place in the midfield. Nacho and Reguilón are among others who will not feature in the UCL tie tonight.
Real Madrid – Navas (GK), Odriozola, Marcelo, Varane, Carvajal, Valverde, Isco, Llorente, Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius
CSKA Moscow – Akinfeev (GK), Chernov, Rodrigo, Nababkin, Shchennikov, Bistrovic, Oblyakov, Figueira, Vlasic, Chalov, Sigurdsson
CSKA are plagued by a number of injury problems. Star midfielder Alan Dzagoev is out on the sidelines, along with Viktor Vasin and Ilzat Akhmetov not being available for the visitors. Rodrigo Becao was added to the injury listed after he was stretchered off in the weekend. There is no update on Becao but he is likely to miss out here. There is a chance of Ivan Oblyakov making a return for CSKA Moscow.
