Jose Mourinho and Tottenham Hotspur are in desperate need of signings in the ongoing January transfer window. The case has become even stronger after their talisman Harry Kane sustained a hamstring injury which now keeps him out till April since the centre-forward has to undergo surgery.
‘Following ongoing assessment by our medical staff over the past week, we can confirm that Harry Kane will undergo surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring. ‘
‘The decision to undergo surgery is not expected to impact the timeframe that the England captain will be sidelined, with the expectation that he will return to training in April.’
However, as per several reports, Tottenham Hotspur is all set to sign AC Milan attacker Krysztof Piatek for a deal of 28 million pounds.
It is being said that the 24-year-old could sign a three-year deal with the club from North London and the speculation could be confirmed within a couple of days.
The Polish striker joined AC Milan in January 2019 for 34.2 million pounds from Genoa after scoring 19 goals in 21 games. Piatek started off reasonably well for Milan and bagged nine goals from the first 18 games.
Nevertheless, Piatek couldn't continue that positive run in the remaining 18 games as he ended up scoring just four goals. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic now making a comeback to Milan, Piatek was bound to be on the sidelines.
But with Spurs now getting into the act, it seems like the fans from the Premier League might get to witness the famous gun-sling celebration which Piatek is known for.
Krzysztof Piatek has also had an impressive spell in the international circuit for Poland despite his limited appearances. From the 10 games, the potential Spurs striker has netted five goals.
