From Mascot to the ending ceremony- All you need to know about FIFA 2018

World Cup is just a couple of days away, and the fans are cheering their teams as they want their teams to win it today. From Japan to the USA everybody is heading towards Russia so here is quick information manual about the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Who is the Mascot?

Mascots are introduced to promote the event. The mascot can consider as a person or a thing which brings good luck. In Russia, the official Mascot is named after a Wolf as ‘Zabivaka’ means “the one who scores.” It is a very suitable name for this wolf that radiates fun, charm and confidence. It takes a month-long voting process in Russia where more than 1 million Russians cast their votes for the name.

What about the Theme Song?


Actor-rapper Will Smith along with the ‘X’ fame singer Nicky Jam recorded a song ‘live it up’ which is the official song for this World Cup.  The Video of the official song will be launched by 7 June until then the duo launched the official audio.

Opening ceremony Date: 14 June 2018

Time: 2 PM (BST)

Venue: Luzhniki Stadium

The opening ceremony is set to be performed by Around 500 dancers, gymnasts, and trampolinists. As if now there is no official announcement on the list of celebrities performing into the ceremony.

Ending ceremony Date: 15 July

Venue: Luzhniki Stadium

The closing ceremony will include firework display with some performances that will pay homage to all the Russians. Once again no official announcements are made on the celebrity performance.
