Key Players for the matches to be played on March 13th March 2018
Both Stoke City and Manchester City possess some fantastic talents in their ranks. However, since we have to create a playing XI by using players from both the teams, some of the players will have to be left out. It is purely based on the effect and the performance of that particular player on his team so far.
For this match, our three key players are Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke), Leroy Sane (Man City), and Kevin De Bruyne (Man City).
Xherdan Shaqiri – The pocket-dynamo or Swiss-Messi is an unbelievable player. Though he is more consistent for his national side, he remains an irreplaceable player for the Potters. The biggest attribute he has that no matter where he is on the pitch, he can always pop-up with some amazing goals.
So far this season, he has scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists for Stoke City- no other Stoke player has contributed more than him this season. With 57 shots, he has also taken the 2nd most shots for his team. The former Bayern Munich winger has also spent 2253 minutes on the pitch and that speaks how important he is for Stoke’s Premier League future.
Leroy Sane – There is no doubt that he is one of the best young talents in the world but to some extent, he is also lucky that he is playing under a manager for whom football is nothing short of an art, and that’s why the former Schalke man is turning into a superstar, and Pep Guardiola needs to be given credit for that.
Talking about his stats for this season, the 22-year-old has been a consistent performer for Manchester City this season as he has scored 8 goals and racked up 11 assists for his teammates so far this season.
Sane has spent 1729 minutes on the pitch and won two man of the matches for his team this season.
Kevin De Bruyne – Pep Guardiola’s most trusted sergeant. The Belgian version of Lionel Messi and the player who Pep thinks can come close to Messi’s abilities- it’s Kevin De Bruyne and the best player in the Premier League this season by a significant stretch.
De Bruyne has made 29 appearances for City this season and in those games, he has scored 7 goals and provided 14 assists while winning the 7 man of the match so far this season. He is every fantasy football fan’s dream. So make sure Mr. De Bruyne is in your team.
Both Werder Bremen and FC Koln some fantastic talents in their ranks. However, since we have to create a playing XI by using players from both the teams, some of the players will have to be left out. It is purely based on the effect and the performance of that particular player on his team so far.
For this match, our three key players are Max Kruse (Werder Bremen), Theodor Gebre Selassie (Werder Bremen), and Simon Terodde (FC Koln).
Max Kruse – The biggest name Werder Bremen boast in their ranks, and despite his team’s sorry looking position in the table, the 29-year-old has performed decently. With 5 goals and 6 assists to his name, Kruse is one of the best performing Bremen player this season. He has also produced one man of the match performance in the 2017-18 season.
Theodor Gebre Selassie – Though he has scored only 2 goals this season with no assists to his name, Theodor Gebre Selassie remains an integral part of Werder Bremen side. There are other aspects where he has fully flourished this season. The 31-year-old has won the most aerial duels in Bremen side and his passing accuracy is close to 80%. A big reason why he could be in your side-
Simon Terodde – In a season where FC Koln are struggling to emulate their last season’s wizardry, Terodde has managed to make a name for himself. The 30-year-old forward has five goals to his name this season and has won 5 aerial duels so far in 2017-18.
