In a major development, the Chennai Super Kings has named David Willey as the replacement for the injured Kedar Jadhav.
The right-handed batsman, Kedar Jadhav, who sustained the hamstring injury during his sides opening match at the Wankhede Stadium against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday night, displayed nerves of steel in the final over as CSK pipped MI by one wicket in a nail biting thriller.
Jadhav’s replacement English all-rounder David Willey had gone unsold with a base price of Rs 2 crore at the 2018 IPL player auctions.
The news was confirmed by Willey’s county side Yorkshire who posted a the following tweet
