Chennai Central Station was awashed with ‘yellow love’ on Thursday as the Whistlepodu express reached the platform to take its fans to Pune where Chennai Super Kings would be taking on Rajasthan Royals on Friday.

BCCI and IPL Governing Council decided to shift the venue of home games of Chennai Super Kings to Pune due to increasing rage over Cauvery dispute but the Chennai organized ‘Whistlepodu Express’ for the Yellow Brigade.

The decision of venue shift came soon after shoes were hurled at Ravindra Jadeja while fielding during the match and on Faf du Plessis who was carrying drinks for his teammates.

Thousands of fans are all set to flock the Gahunje Stadium for their first match in Pune on Friday, April 20.

CSK has also arranged for complimentary passes for the match as well as free accommodation and food.

“We were quite disappointed after the games in Chennai got cancelled. So, we asked the team management to arrange our travel to Pune or some discount like free match tickets or something,” Prabhu, a key member of the fan club said.
