Jaipur – Kolkata Knight Riders continued from where they had left in the last game to overpower Rajasthan Royals at their fortress and break their record winning streak at home. KKR were on the money from the outset to keep RR to a below-par total and later coming out all guns blazing to chase it down.

Chasing 161, the Knight Riders lost Chris Lynn early when the score was 1. Uthappa joined Narine at Lynn’s wicket, and the two added 69 runs for the second wicket to lay the foundation for the later batsmen. Narine made 35 before a terrible mix-up, while Uthappa scored a fluent 48. Rana and captain Karthik took KKR home from there, with scores of 35 and 42 runs, respectively.

Earlier, Dinesh Karthik won the toss and invited Ajinkya Rahane’s team to set them a target. After a slow start, RR picked some momentum with Rahane leading the charge with the bat. Soon after his dismissal for 19-ball 36, the RR innings lost the momentum. D’Arcy Short was the top scorer for the home side but took too many balls for the same. For KKR, Nitish Rana and Tom Curran picked 2 wickets apiece.
