Pro Kabaddi League 2018: Puneri Paltan announce captain for season 6


Puneri Paltan have named Girish Ernak as their captain for the upcoming sixth season of the league Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).


Girish has been a part of Puneri Paltan setup since season 5. On the occasion of unveiling the team’s jersey for the upcoming season, CEO of Puneri Paltan Ernak, Kailash Kandpal and Head coach Ashan Kumar, had an interaction with the media.


It was during the press conference that the CEO of Puneri Paltan Ernak made the announcement, “Girish will take charge of the team this season. With his leadership skills, I am sure he will up the teams game in Season 6.”

The newly announced captain of Puneri Paltan, Girish Ernak said, “I am extremely honoured to have been bestowed with this duty of leading the team. I know that this is not just a designation but also a great responsibility. I am humbled to know that the management has immense faith in me and I promise to put forth my best foot forward to ensure that the Puneri lions roar the loudest in all the matches. We as a unit are putting in lots of efforts to train and strengthen our battalion. With Ashan Sir’s guidance, we are confident about bringing the trophy home this season.”


Pro Kabaddi League Season 6 kick starts on October 7, with Puneri Paltan scheduled to play their first match against U Mumba on the day 1 of the fresh season. The franchise will play home leg games in Pune, from October 18 to 24.


Apart from unveiling jersey and captain announcement, the media release says that Force Motors Ltd and Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Xiaomi India is a new brand onboard as the official smartphone partner with the team.

Girish will have the services of Rajesh Mondal, Sandeep Narwal, Nitin Tomar, Akshay Jadhav, GB More and Rinku to win it for Puneri Paltan.
