@prokabaddi

As the amusement and the euphoria of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 come to a historic end which saw England claiming the coveted trophy for the very first time in their cricketing history, it is now time for the Pro Kabaddi League season 7 to take the center stage which is scheduled to kick-off from 20th July 2019.

This beautiful game has seen many players evolving from the ashes and setting their own standards in the last six years. With many youngsters in the line to make their debut this season as well, more enthusiasm, more intensity, and more challenge will definitely enlighten the season.

Alike the last year, there are 12 teams in this season as well with some extraordinary players. Here we will focus on that one fantasy pick from each team who could prove their worth for the team.

Maninder Singh (Raider, Bengal Warriors)

Elimnator 2 - Dabang Delhi K.C. vs Bengal Warriors
@prokabaddi

Bengal Warriors have gone for many changes in their set-up with the biggest one being the expulsion of Korea’s prolific raider Jang Kun Lee.

However, their strength relies on star raider Maninder Singh who ended up with 206 raid points from 22 matches in the last season. He had a phenomenal raid strike-rate of 54.78 then and in the absence of Jang Kun Lee he will have the added responsibilities on his shoulders.

Pawan Kumar Sehrawat (Raider, Bengaluru Bulls)

Final - Bengaluru Bulls vs Gujarat Fortunegiants
@prokabaddi

The top scorer in the raid department of the last season, Pawan Kumar Sehrawat will once again be the flag bearer for the reigning champions Bengaluru Bulls in this season.

The ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the last season from 24 matches ended up with 282 raid points with 22 points being the most in a match.

Meraj Sheykh (All-rounder, Dabang Delhi)

Elimnator 3 - U.P. Yoddha vs Dabang Delhi K.C.
@prokabaddi

He did not do much justice to his name and the goodwill he carries in the game of Kabaddi. Iran’s favorite son could only manage 97 points from 19 matches.

He would be raring to go in this season leaving all his blips behind.

Parvesh Bhainswal (Defender, Gujarat Fortuneginants)

@Twitter/Fortunegiants

One of the major reasons for Gujarat Fortunegiants success in the last season was their premier defender Parvesh Bhainswal who got 86 tackle points against his name.

With 4 super tackles and 5 high 5’s, he averaged 3.28 tackle points per match.

Vikash Kandola (Raider, Haryana Steelers)

Match 127 - Haryana Steelers vs Tamil Thalaivas
@prokabaddi

Vikash Kandola was the pick of the raiders last season for Haryana Steelers. His tally of 177 total points which included 5 tackle points were the highest for Steelers in the last season.

He also recorded 51 bonus points which were the third-highest tally among players in the last season.

Deepak Niwas Hooda (All-rounder, Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Leading By Example: Captains Of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 6
@prokabaddi

After the exit of ‘Captain Cool’ Anup Kumar from this set-up, Jaipur’s impetus relies upon their star all-rounder Deepak Niwas Hooda who had an extraordinary season last time around.

With 12 tackles and 196 raid points against his name, Deepak Niwas Hooda ended up with 208 total points which was the most for Jaipur Pink Panthers in the last season.

Pardeep Narwal (Raider, Patna Pirates)

Leading By Example: Captains Of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 6
@prokabaddi

With the inclusion of Jang Kun Lee, the Patna Pirates have definitely strengthened their raid department with skipper Pardeep Narwal already in their disposal.

The star raider leads the way with 865 raid points against his name from an 85 matches career of PKL. With an average of 200 raid points almost every season, he is definitely the biggest asset in this set-up.

Nitin Tomar (Raider, Puneri Paltan)

@prokabaddi

Making his debut for Puneri Paltan in the last season, Nitin Tomar is definitely someone who can change the course of the match at any given time.

In the last season, he was the first to reach 100 raid points, but an injury did not let him play more than 11 matches in the season. With a fresh season now, he would be eyeing a spirited comeback for sure.

Ajay Thakur (Raider, Tamil Thalaivas)

Leading By Example: Captains Of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 6

The skipper of the national side and Tamil Thalaivas in PKL, Ajay Thakur is the perfect raid machine the Thalaivas would want. The team didn’t had a great show in the last season as they ended up at the bottom of Zone B with only 5 wins to their name, but individually it was a good effort from Ajay Thakur.

The skipper got 203 raid points against his name with an impressive not-out percentage of 79.38.

Siddharth Sirish Desai (Raider, Telugu Titans)

Elimnator 1 - U Mumba vs U.P. Yoddha

Probably the biggest buy the Telugu Titans in this edition of PKL. Siddharth Sirish Desai impressed one and all in his debut season last year playing for UMumba.

He scored 218 raid points in the season from just 21 matches and holds the record for the fastest to 50 raid points in the history of PKL.

Fazel Atrachali (Defender, UMumba)

A spirited leader in Fazel Atrachali is definitely someone against whom any raid department fears. He was impeccable in the last season both individually and on the team’s front.

From 23 matches last year, he got 83 tackle points to his name which was definitely exceptional. Under his leadership, UMumba was able to reach the last four.

Monu Goyat (Raider, UP Yoddha)

Leading By Example: Captains Of VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 6

The prominence of this team in this season will definitely rely on someone like Monu Goyat who was the biggest buy for Haryana last season but will represent UP Yoddha’s this time around.

With the likes of Shrikant Jadhav and skipper Rishank Devadiga already in the fray in the raid department, Monu Goyat’s presence will strengthen the facet even more.
