A new high for Pardeep

The last match of the Interzonal challenge witnessed a new landmark in the history of Pro Kabaddi League. ‘Dubki King’ Pardeep narwal achieved a feat which never looked out of his grasps. In just his second raid point of the match, he toppled the record for the highest raid points in Pro Kabaddi League history surpassing the tally of Rahul Chaudhari. Before the start of the game, Pardeep was on the cusp of making the record of his own as he was one shy of 700 raid points.

In case you didn’t know…

The Patna Pirates were up against Haryana Steelers in the last game of Interzonal challenge week. This game was played at the Patliputra Sports complex in Patna and was pipped as a battle between the two-star raiders Monu Goyat and Pardeep Narwal. Unfortunately, Monu wasn’t available for the game which meant Vikas Khandola was the acting skipper of Haryana Steelers.

It took only a minute for Pardeep to claim those two points which helped him surpass 700 raid points mark.

Not a good day at the office for Patna Pirates

Despite the heroics of Pardeep Narwal, Patna Pirates lost their second straight game at home by 32-43 which gave Haryana Steelers their third win of the season. It was a heartbreaking loss for the Pirates but Pardeep got to his 6th super 10 and third in succession.

Vijay allied his captain well with 7 points under his belt which included one tackle point as well but others, especially from the centre did not respond well which meant the Pirates slumped to their fourth defeat of the season.

What’s next for Pardeep?

With 713 raid points to his name from just 71 games, he is the fastest to achieve this feat and in the near future, he would be eyeing for a miraculous table-top spot in the total points tally which is currently led by Rahul Chaudhari with 746 raid points to his name.
