Now, let’s have a brief insight at the journey of the two teams;
Fortunegiants finished at the top of Zone A in the league stages of the competition. They still have lost the least number of games this season.
In the league stages of the competition, Gujarat just lost 3 games against UMumba, Haryana Steelers and Dabang Delhi K.C. and won 17 which was the most by any team this season.
Then came the playoff stages where they made an entry directly into Qualifier-1. They had a daunting task ahead of them in the form of Zone B toppers Bengaluru Bulls. They failed to impress altogether and succumbed to their 4th defeat of the season 29-41.
Their loss meant that they were forced into Eliminator 3 in a do-or-die situation against UP Yoddha who were coming into this game after winning 7 games on the trot.

Though, their inspirational run took a prompt break in eliminator-3 which shattered their hopes of entering the finals as Gujarat stormed their way by 38-31 to set a date with Bulls for one last time this season.
Can the runners-up of last season get their hands on the coveted title this year? Can the youngest team of the season step into the world of champions? The Final Showdown awaits.
Bengaluru Bulls journey can be narrated in two phases. In the opening phase of the tournament, it was all about Pawan Kumar Sehrawat who raided all the way to set the tone for his side, in the second phase he got ample support from his skipper and star raider Rohit Kumar who took a while to find his feet.

This was one team who had the weakest defence right from the start of the season, but the longevity of their raiders did not let their defence to expose.
The Green arm-band holder Pawan Kumar Sehrawat with 249 raid points, skipper Rohit Kumar with 161 riad points have taken this team to their second final appearance from where they are just one step away from the glory.
