NZBL Projections, Stats & Analysis

Tuatara’s been shaky

Auckland should have been a top-two seed with the way they began the season and was at the top for almost half of the season. Their defense hasn’t been the same since then and although their offense has been decent, the overall production has taken a hit. Siler Schneider has been exceptional, leading the team in assists and rebounders lately. Robert Loe has been the overall rebounding leader and the team has a great playmaking unit.

Saints have improved

The Saints began the season on a low note, losing 7 out of their 10 games. Since then, they have won six out of the last seven games and they have been in terrific touch. Their offense was always free-flowing in the Regular Season but lately, their defense has also improved. Xavier Cooks has been huge as a scorer and rebounder, leading the team in these two categories consistently while the inclusion of Reggie Upshaw has increased the athletic talent.
