CHI vs DAL Dream11: The WNBA is clearly in its most volatile state during the Regular Season as the Playoffs are around two weeks away and the time to make a winning run is collapsing. There are teams that are still unsure whether they will go on to the Playoffs. One of those teams in the Dallas Wings will take on Chicago Sky, the best team in the league.
The Wings are having another here-and-there season, not going anywhere despite having a more-than-decent roster. They have 13 wins and 16 losses, winning two of the last three games. In their last game, they defeated the Dream 81-68 as Kayla Thornton had a 21 points night.
The Sky has surely been the best team so far and with a record of 23 wins and seven losses, they sit at the top of the standings. They have won 13 out of the last 15 games and come into this contest after defeating the Sun 95-92 in Overtime as Kahleah Copper showered 27 points.
The Sky and the Wings just met 10 days ago when the Sky emerged as victories. Sky has already won the season series two-nil.
Host: Chicago Sky Visitors: Dallas Wings Match Timing: 3 August, @ 06:30 AM (+05:30 UTC) Venue: Wintrust Arena
Sky looks unstoppable
The Sky has a lot of veteran players and most of their key players are all-around experts. They don’t rely on just one or two players to generate the bulk of the offense. They move the ball around well, probe their actions, and rarely force the action, searching for the best shot. The bench became better during the offseason with the addition of Rebekah Gardner and defensively, the team looks even better than last season. Seriously, the Sky is the deepest team in all positions.
The Wings remain an enigma
The Wings continue to be a mystery. Arike Ogunbowale, Allisha Gray, and Marina Mabrey are all incredible shooters but despite that, their percentages can be rough. The ball movement has been an issue once again but the biggest issue is their defense. While Kayla Thornton has done well, the team defense doesn’t buy into the “help the helper” concept. The Wings have done a lot of amazing things this season but they don’t look like the type of them that can take two wins in the Playoffs against a top-tiered team.

Arike Ogunbowale(DAL) Points: 21 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 08 Steals: 05 Guard Ogunbowale can keep it going from deep and despite her tendency to force a bit, she is one of the elite scorers. I believe she will be in 20-27 points and 4-7 assists range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-42
Courtney Vandersloot(CHI) Points: 16 Rebounds: 08 Assists: 12 Steals: 02 Blocks: 01 Guard Vandersloot is one of the best passers to play the game but she is an all-around threat, also having a decent shooting streak. I believe she will be in 10-16 points, 7-10 assists, 4-7 rebounds, and 1-3 steals range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 29-41
Teaira McCowan(DAL) Points: 14 Rebounds: 14 Assists: 01 Steals: 01 Blocks: 01 McCowan is a nightmare to guard as one of the tallest players and she can both get easy lay-ups while grabbing a ton of boards. I believe she will be in 12-18 points and 9-14 rebounds range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-36
Kahleah Copper(CHI) Points: 27 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 02 Guard Copper is an elite scorer who is one of the most acrobatic players while also providing defense. I believe she will be in 18-24 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 1-3 steals range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-38
Allisha Gray(DAL) Points: 07 Rebounds: 03 Assists: 08 Steals: 03 Blocks: 02 Allisha is an incredible shooter and scorer but her impact hasn’t been enough to make the Wings a 50% win team. I believe she will be in 12-16 points, 4-7 assists, and 1-2 steals range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-35
Emma Messeman(CHI) Points: 10 Rebounds: 03 Assists: 05 Steals: 01 Blocks: 01 Forward Emma may not put up fancy numbers every time but she is a calculating player who is an incredible scorer, rebounder, defender, and playmaker. I believe she will be in 13-19 points, 5-8 assists, and 4-7 rebounds range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-38
