CON vs ATL Dream11: The WNBA is close to the halfway mark during the Regular Season. We have seen some teams face a downward spiral this season, the Minnesota Lynx and the Phoenix Mercury have fallen off the radar. And then some teams have established their high rankings, while others have improved at a high clip. The example of the former is Connecticut Sun and of the latter is Atlanta Dream, and they will meet here.
The Sun has done a great job once again, compiling 10 wins and four losses. They come into this game after losing to the Sky 79:83 despite a 20 points effort by Brionna Jones. On the other hand, the Dream was red-hot to begin the season but has cooled down a bit. They have seven wins and six losses, coming into this game after losing a close 88:90 battle to the Mercury, despite a 25 points outing by Rhyne Howard. Can the Dream continue their campaign?

Two amazing defenses
The Dream has an elite defense and the squad has restricted teams to the lowest scoring average. Then where is the trouble? Well, they have their own offensive issues, being the last-placed scoring team as well. The Dream play at the third-quickest pace and are dead-last in assists per game, which means that they lack playmaking and rotation skills, setting for tough shots. They hold teams below 40%, while only allowing around 30% from the three-point line. They need to fix their offense really quickly or they will fall behind.
While their defense isn’t as effective as last season, the Sun continues to be a great club, and they have improved their offense considerably, being number two in points with around 87 a game. Thanks to Alyssa Thomas, the team is able to push the ball whereas the team’s selection is amazing with strong inside players such as Jonquel Jones, Brionna Jones, and Alyssa Thomas. The Guard positions can do more, especially Courtney Williams.
