CON vs CHI Dream11: There are many reasons to love the WNBA and each season, it sees an increase in viewership. It will take a few more years to get more prominence as the investment in the league grows but even the current talent pool deserves attention for how well-crafted these athletes are. And you can see these incredible athletes in full display as Connecticut Sun will host the Chicago Sky.
Not to anyone’s surprise, the Connecticut Sun has done an admirable job, winning 10 of their 13 games. They won the last game against the Fever 88:69 as Brionna Jones grabbed 18 points and the Sun frontline continues to deal damage. On the other hand, the Sky has started strong anyway, winning 7 of their 11 games. The defending champions lost to the Mystics in a thriller as Candace Parker failed to make a game-tying lay-up which gave the Mystics an 82:84 win. Can the Sky break the four-game winning streak of the Sun?
Host: Connecticut Sun Visitors: Chicago Sky Match Timing: 11 June, @ 04:30 AM (+05:30 UTC) Venue: Mohegan Sun Arena
Sky is balanced, Sun’s frontline is title-level
Interestingly, the Sun, a team that was the slowest-paced team in the league last season and also figured in the bottom four scoring team, has developed and is second in the scoring list, with around 88 points a game. Their pace has increased too and the major reason has been the presence of Alyssa Thomas, who can surely help accelerate with her incredible outlet passes.
Jonquel Jones is an incredible scorer whereas DeWanna Bonner has been doing her job. Getting Brionna Jones off the bench has paid off whereas Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman have done well pushing the ball but their offense is inconsistent. Carrington has been huge off the bench and the Sun looks primed for a deep Playoff run.
The Sky continues to be middle of the major defensive and offensive ratings, just like last season. They do lead all the teams in assists per game and why not, with passers like Vandersloot, Parker, and Messeman, the team can be an effective half-court offensive team. They are also second in terms of made three-pointers with around 6.4 a game. They are also a strong defensive team, showing incredible discipline and experience.
Parker and Messeman are incredible in the frontline, both of them careful with their shot-selection. Vandersloot’s abilities as well-known whereas Copper is a scoring machine. Quigley is an incredible shooter but she is yet to get in her groove. Rebekah Garner has been huge off the bench and it is a pleasure to watch her hoop. She forms a strong bench alongside Azure Stevens and Dana Evans.

Courtney Vandersloot(CHI) Points: 06 Rebounds: 01 Assists: 05 Courtney can save her energy for the Playoffs where she shines as Parker, Copper can also maintain ball-handling duties from time to time. I believe she will be in 7-11 points and 6-9 assists range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 19-29
Jonquel Jones(CON) Points: 18 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 03 Steals: 03 Blocks: 02 Forward Jonquel has been a huge factor and after a slow start to the season, she has gotten her mojo back. I believe she will be in 17-24 points, 8-13 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks/steals range. She can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 Prediction scenario. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 34-46
Candace Parker(CHI) Points: 16 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 03 Candace made 6 of her 15 shots but she is more than a scorer, playing tough defense(especially her incredible hedges), being an effective rebounder, and dishing the ball. I expect a 15-22 points, 7-10 rebounds, and 4-6 assists range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-40
Alyssa Thomas(CON) Points: 11 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 05 Forward Alyssa makes the Sun better as she can dish lovely passes after grabbing rebounds, play strong defense and also make tough shots, especially while driving. I believe she will be in 12-16 points, 8-11 rebounds, and 5-8 assists range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-37
Kahleah Copper(CHI) Points: 12 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 04 Copper made five of her 12 shots and she remains a dynamic scorer. I believe she will be in 14-18 points, 4-6 rebounds, and 3-5 assists range. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-28
DeWanna Bonner(CON) Points: 12 Rebounds: 01 Assists: 02 Steals: 01 Blocks: 01 Bonner made four of her nine shots and she has been a huge contributor on both ends of the floor. I believe she will be in 14-19 points and 3-6 rebounds range here. Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-31
