DAL vs LVA Dream11: The WNBA is heading towards the Playoffs stage and the Regular Season has been a total treat in multiple regards. As we dash towards the Postseason, there are three open spots for the Playoffs and the race from the sixth to eleven seed is the most intense it has been in years. In this game, one of the Playoffs contenders Dallas Wings will clash against already qualified Las Vegas Aces.
The Aces have been one of the top two teams for most of the season. They have acquired 22 wins and just nine losses, having another fantastic season. They had won four in a row before losing 73-83 to Mystics in the last game despite A’ja Wilson’s 22 points.
On the other hand, the Wings have been having another tough season. They have won 14 and lost 16 but lately, they have won three out of the last four games. They come into this battle after beating the Sky 84:78 as Marina Mabrey drilled 26 points.
The Aces have defeated the Dallas Wings in both the meetings so far. These two last met in mid-June.
Host: Dallas Wings Visitors: Las Vegas Aces Match Timing: 5 August, @ 05:30 AM (+05:30 UTC) Venue: College Park Center
Wings have a lot of talent
The Wings have no shortage of talent. With a streak shooter like Arike Ogunbowale, constantly improving Marina Mabrey and a dynamic guard Allisha Gray, they have the potential to become the best three-point shooting squad. The trouble is that the Wings lack a playmaking Guard that can help rotate the ball constantly without forcing the issue.
Defense has also been an issue, however, lately, the team has shown certain promise in that regard. The team inserted rookie Veronica Burton in the starting lineup for the first time in the last game due to Arike’s absence and she did handle the ball well while playing tough defense. Kayla Thornton has played well lately while Teaira McCowan has been effective as a starter.
Aces are contenders
The Aces are the fastest-paced squad in the league and also have the most athletic players. The breakthrough season of Kelsey Plum has helped them become a monster offensive team so A’ja Wilson and Plum are right now the most dynamic duo in the league. Chelsea Gray adds a veteran flavor whereas Jackie Young has improved. Dearica gives important minutes as a board enforcer and a defender. The bench has been abysmal for the team but the rise of Jackie Young means that the team has four shot-creators.
