LVA vs CON Dream11: The WNBA season is in full flow and there have been change in various teams’ positions already compared to last season. The Mercury and the Lynx have fallen big time whereas Mystics and Dream have risen so far. Then there are teams that have picked it up where they left it last season. And two of those squads in Las Vegas Aces and the Connecticut Sun will clash against each other.
The Aces have done an amazing job of winning eight out of their nine games, currently on a six-game winning streak. In the last game, the Aces defeated the Sky 83:76 as A’ja Wilson clinched 22 points and 16 rebounds. On the other hand, the Connecticut Sun has won six of their eight games, largely due to their elite defense. They beat the Mystics 79:71 in the last game as Alyssa Thomas scrapped 14 points. Can these two well-balanced teams have a thrilling contest?
Host: Las Vegas Aces
Visitors: Connecticut Sun
Match Timing: 1 June, @ 06:30 AM (+05:30 UTC)
Venue: Michelob Ultra Arena
Two well-balanced scoring and defensive units
The Sun are not solely dependent upon Jonquel Jones anymore and their scoring balance is amazing. most of the scorers hover in the 10-15 points with different players leading the charge. Having Alyssa Thomas helps as she has been the most effective all-around player for the team. The other big impact has been on the defensive end and the bench also looks deep with Brionna Jones in the middle and supported by guards Anderson and Carington. The Sun has set a wonderful template to start the season.
On the other hand, the Aces have done a great job of being a balanced scoring team. A’ja Wilson continues to be a two-way leader but Jackie Young has grown leaps and bounds as an all-around player. Kelsey Plum continues to be a star-level player whereas Chelsea Gray has been an incredible scorer and playmaker. Dearica Hamby has been a terrific rebounder but the bench has been an issue, more so due to the absence of Riquna Williams. Can the Aces translate this into a championship? They sure look like a title team.
