LVA vs LAS Dream11: I love the WNBA! Incredible guards who can make terrific layups, floaters, jumpers, and a bunch of other shots while the Forwards are able to rain it down from three while also pulling a bunch of high-post and low-post moves. The defense is incredible and most of the players here have undergone a rigid four-year college program following it up with the high standards of the WNBA, so what is not to like! In this game, we will see incredible athletes as the Las Vegas Aces will take on the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Aces have won six of their seven games and they are the hottest team in the league. They defeated the Mercury for the third time in the last game, forcing a huge second half to win 100:80. Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young combined for 44 points. On the other hand, the Sparks have been struggling, just winning two of their six games. They had a close encounter against Storm, losing 80:83 despite a huge 25 points night by Cambage. Can the Sparks beat the odds here?
Host: Las Vegas Aces Visitors: Los Angeles Sparks Match Timing: 24 May, @ 07:30 AM (+05:30 UTC) Venue: Michelob ULTRA Arena
Sparks have had a tough schedule, Aces are rolling
The Aces are a fast-paced team and the best part for coach Becky Hammon is that they have been not solely dependent upon A’ja Wilson in the frontline. Losing Cambage has actually helped them as they can get earlier into their sets. The emergence of Jackie Young has been incredible and she forms an incredible backcourt alongside Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray, all of these are strong shooters, and drivers, and can dish a bunch of assists. Hamby is a tough rebounder whereas Plaisance and Stokes bring great rebounding. The Aces are on fire right now.
For the Sparks, the three-point shooting woes have been one of the worst in the league. They are amazing at going inside; making drives, and getting low-post positions while also nailing tough mid-rangers. However, the lack of three-point shooting gives the opposition a substantial advantage. The team has to be irritated after getting eight of their first ten games away from home. Nneka remains an incredible post player, and Cambage can be an elite rebounder and scorer but they need more from the backcourt for sure.
Talking about match-ups, there is no doubt that the teams are evenly matched in terms of frontline, however, the Aces are comparatively athletic with Hamby and Wilson being better runners than Cambage and Nneka. On the other hand, the Aces have a huge advantage in terms of guards as Jordin, Lexie, and Sykes are amazing drivers but the shooting game of Plum, Gray, and Young is lightyears ahead. Can Cambage earn a win against her former team?
