MIN vs UTA Dream11

MIN vs UTA Dream11: The NBA Regular Season has begun and of course the packed field makes it difficult who will be close to the title. If we talk about some teams, they may not look top-level but they can end up surprising opposition with their resilience. This means that there are these new-look rosters that are expected to perform poorly but they can take the fans by surprise. One of those teams Utah Jazz will visit the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves showed their new look roster can be a big-time one as they won Okhlahoma City Thunder 115:108 as Rudy Gobert lodged 20+ points and 10+ rebounds to lead the winning effort. Can Rudy transform the Timberwolves into a contender?

On the other hand, in what was one of the most unexpected results, the Utah Jazz defeated Denver Nuggets 123:102 as their bench showed up in an incredible fashion. Will these surprises far and few or will the Jazz establish a rhythm?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Timberwolves: A promising beginning
Rudy Gobert showed his incredible chops in the first game itself and seemed to enjoy the change he got this season. Anthony Edwards and Karl Anthony Towns shot just 6/27 and to overcome that, the Wolves needed a couple of terrific performances. D’Angelo Russell, Rudy Gobert, and Jaden McDaniels combined for 62 points and that is something you’d expect from Edwards and Towns to do. Still, this also proves the improved depth as Jaylen Nowell had 13 points off-the-bench.

Their defense was amazing but to be honest, their opponent Thunder lacks the offensive chops. But this win proves that the Timberwolves aren’t just relying upon Edwards and Karl to have big nights and can attain the roster balance that is a matter of envy for many teams. The Wolves’ defense looks improved with Rudy Gobert as a help defender. Let us see how much influence Gobert exerts and if Anthony-Towns gets back in groove.

Jazz: What a start!

The Jazz are not coming into the season with many expectations, which can at times result in a play that is free of worries. This was the case during Jazz’s opening night win against a loaded Nuggets team. They had a massive 16-5 three-pointers advantage and held their opponents to below 23 percent from deep. The Jazz did commit 19 turnovers but did dish 27 assists as the guard-heavy rotation saw something unusual.

The unusual part was that the bench outscored the starting unit 68-55. The most intriguing part was how well the second-unit played with each other. The Jazz showed a lot of potential with the backcourt of Sexton, Clarkson, Conley, and Beasley, the interesting part will be how Clarkson responds in the starting role as he wasn’t as effective in the last game. It will be fun to watch this team on the defensive end if the last game wasn’t an exception.
