  • PHO vs MIN Dream11

PHO vs MIN Dream11: For many teams, the current period has become a battlefield for the last few spots in the Playoffs which makes for a bombastic watch. In this case, two teams that still have a chance to make it in will meet as the Phoenix Mercury take on Minnesota Lynx.

The Mercury has had a tough season without their superstar Brittney Griner and the team has fallen to a rather shabby 14 wins and 19 losses record. They come into this game after winning 76:62 against the Liberty as Diamond DeShields conjured up a 25 points night.

The Lynx has had a tough season too and Naphessa Collier’s return has come rather too late. Still, they have an outside chance of qualifying for the Playoffs and have played much better in the second half of the season. They come into this game after beating the Dream 81-71 as Kayla McBride scored 20 points.

The Mercury and the Lynx have met thrice with Mercury losing all the meetings.

    WNBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

    Strange season for the Mercury

The Mercury has had a rather strange season. Without Griner, their defense has been absent and even with a strong guard combination, they have been left high and dry. The lack of size has surely hurt the team and apart from that, the team chemistry has fallen apart. Skylar Diggins-Smith has lost her touch a bit but Sophie Cunningham has been on fire. The Mercury has been having unprecedented shooting woes to this season.

    Lynx’s recovery

The Lynx has been unable to build a winning record but things could have been even worse. They started with just 3 wins and 13 losses and since then, they have won 10 and lost just seven. Not having Napheesa Collier has hurt but Powers, McBride, and Fowles have carried the load. Minnesota will need to win all their games now, but even that won’t guarantee their Playoffs berth. Can the Lynx get it done here?

WNBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

    Skylar Diggins-Smith(PHO)
Skylar missed the last game and she had been struggling a bit shooting-wise before the injury. However, if she plays, which she most likely will, I expect her to be in the 18-25 points and 4-7 assists range.

    Moriah Jefferson(MIN)
    Points: 18
    Rebounds: 04
    Assists: 06
    Steals: 01
Guard Jefferson has had a solid impact, scoring a ton of points, and can also dish terrific dimes. I believe she will be in 13-19 points and 5-8 assists range. She can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 Prediction scenario.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-40

    Shey Peddy(PHO)
    Points: 20
    Rebounds: 07
    Assists: 03
Guard Shey has been able to make a big impact on both ends of the floor through her strong scoring. I believe she will be in 13-18 points and 4-7 rebounds range.

    Sylvia Fowles(MIN)
    Points: 08
    Rebounds: 08
    Assists: 02
    Blocks: 03

Center Sylvia has given memorable performances in the swansong of her career, giving quality inside scoring, rebounding, and help defense. I believe she will be in 11-18 points, 6-10 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 24-34

    Sophie Cunningham(PHO)
    Points: 18
    Rebounds: 08
    Assists: 02

Guard Cunningham can knock down shots from outside and she has been able to break out in a great rhythm this season. I believe she will be in 15-21 points and 4-7 rebounds range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-35

    Kayla McBride(MIN)
    Points: 20
    Rebounds: 04
    Assists: 06

Kayla knows how to put the ball in the basket, being a veteran scorer and possessing a lovely floater in her arsenal. I believe she will be in 15-22 points range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-34

    • Diamond DeShields(PHO) had 25 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal in the last game. Diamond had a solid game, can she repeat it? I expect a 13-19 points range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-34
    • Jessica Shepard(MIN) had 2 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists in her last game. Jessica gives incredible minutes at the Forward position, especially as a rebounder. I believe she will be in 4-10 points and 5-8 rebounds range.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-22
    • Napheesa Collier(MIN) had 6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block in the last game. Napheesa missed all of the season and in her return, she showed signs of rust.
      Expected Fantasy Points Range: 15-25
    • Brianna Turner(PHO) had 4 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal in the last game. Turner has done her job as a rebounder and defender, continuing to be a strong presence. I believe she will be in 2-6 points, 6-10 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks/steals range.
