The crunch time in the WNBA Regular Season has arrived and the squads look to improve their records to avoid elimination scenarios. In this match-up, an in-form Phoenix Mercury team battles it out against a heartbroken Seattle Storm outfit. More information about the PHO vs SEA Dream11 scenario will be given here.
Seattle suffered a major blow when the team learned that Breanna Stewart is done for the season. Jewell Loyd and Sue Bird need to step it up but this is also an opportunity for young Ezi Magbebor to show that she has developed since her rookie year. Katie Lou Samuelson can see an extended role on offense in absence of Stewart. On the other hand, the Mercury plays at the second-slowest pace at 76.7 but the lineup of Taurasi–Diggins-Nurse-Griner-Turner is highly intelligent, experienced, and can hurt with the patient execution. Meanwhile, bench player Shey Peddy has shown great gameplay ahead of the Playoffs and she has given a huge boost. In terms of the match-up, Seattle will find it difficult to guard Griner and Russell will have her work cut out. If Phoenix wins here then they can move to the fourth seed.

At least one among Brittney Griner and Skylar Diggins-Smith deserve a place in the Dream11 Fantasy Basketball team.
Jewell Loyd is a premier scorer and will see the ball in her hands quite a lot.
*stats from last game*
Jewell Loyd Points: 05 Rebounds: 03 Assists: 03 Steals: 01 PPG: 17.3 RPG: 4.1 APG: 3.8 SPG: 1.5 Jewell is an offensive-minded guard and can take over games with her scoring. Loyd is a superb open court threat and can pin down passes to open players. She is also a top-notch shooter and can nail difficult pull-up jumpers. She uses her handles to create separation and has the body balance to finish against powerful defenders. Jewell will have to take it even at a higher level with Breanna Stewart out of action. The guard also offers lockdown defense at the perimeter.
Brittney Griner Points: 25 Rebounds: 12 Assists: 04 Blocks: 03 Steals: 02 PPG: 20.8 RPG: 9.5 SPG: 2.0 Griner is the tallest player in the WNBA but she has shown every game that she is more than about her size. She can get in both low-post and face-up positions, using hooks, drop steps, switch-hand layups in the low block while hitting turnaround fadeaway and jumpers in face-up situations. She can also run the floor and hit layups on the move. Her defense and rebounding add spice to her game.
Sue Bird Points: 03 Rebounds: 01 Assists: 00 PPG: 10.2 APG: 5.3 SPG: 1.0 Bird has been around for more than 18 years in the league and still averages double figures in points per game while dishing out assists at an incredible rate. Sue has a superb pull-up in the transition while she can also drive to the rim. Bird can also hit clutch shots and still remain a constant threat.
Skylar Diggins-Smith Points: 11 Rebounds: 02 Assists: 05 Steals: 01 PPG: 18.1 APG: 5.2 RPG: 3.3 SPG: 1.1 Skylar is one of the best scorers in the league at the guard position. She has a high-arcing jumper and can shoot the lights out. She can also put it on the floor and use her special hangtime to finish against contact near the rim. Her passing ability also makes her a special player.
Mercedes Russell Points: 06 Rebounds: 05 Assists: 02 PPG: 7.1 RPG: 6.1 Mercedes is going to play a big role in terms of rebounding the ball and can also generate paint points. She doesn’t take a ton of shots but her role may expand in the wake of Breanna Stewart’s absence.
Brianna Turner Points: 10 Rebounds: 09 Assists: 02 PPG: 8.0 RPG: 9.5 BPG: 1.4 Turner leads the team in total rebounds this season and she is a player who mostly gets her production inside. She can slip in the paint and use her wide frame to get points while her relentless rebounding can also help her compound second-chance opportunities.
Katie Lou Samuelson Points: 07 Rebounds: 03 Assists: 02 PPG: 7.0 RPG: 3.5
Shey Peddy Points: 12 Rebounds: 01 Assists: 04 PPG: 4.8
Ezi Magbebor Points: 06 Rebounds: 06 Assists: 01 PPG: 6.4 RPG: 3.8
Kia Nurse Points: 04 Rebounds: 04 Assists: 03 PPG: 9.2 RPG: 3.5
