The first game of the series was a thriller but Spartans began poorly and just got 8 points in the opening quarter and Logan ultimately ended up as the winner. Logan struggled to shoot at 39.13% but forced six more turnovers that became a decisive factor in the game. Another area where Spartans got outhustled was the rebounding end where Logan piled up 46 of them compared to 37 by the Southern District, thus overall, they had more possessions and which showed with them attempting two more field goals and also 18 more free throws. Spartans shot well overall at 44% but will need to bring more hustle and careful play in the next game with their backs against the wall.
